Any site that asks you to deposit an x amount of money to deposit in order to withdraw is a scam. I have also said other times here that you need to check the gambling section for the casino you want to deposit and play. If it is there and they have their official thread plus general good opinions from the users go ahead and play, if not stop and ask.

I'm not sure why this thread is up after relatively long time , but in general there are tons of such sites
you can't imagine how much of spam I get in telegram about such sites and all of them have the same shady concept , you either have to deposit certain amount of btc to get paid or you have to download the "site app "

when it's like this it's really easy to avoid getting scammed cause only newbies fail to understand this scam , but in general the golden rules for me is to never try any site unless there are tons of good reviews about it online or it has an active thread here with decent site design so you kinda eliminate the hit&run as well

Asking a 0.1BTC to customer so they are able to withdraw their small victory money is the indication of total scam though. I am glad that you are not fooled. I think I might have some similar experience I just forget the site. So, they offer me a 100% deposit bonus, then I deposit small amount of money, and then magically I got 3 winning streak on my first 3 match, so I try to withdraw but then they ask me to install some application to be able to withdraw, so I did the same as you installed the application in a virtual machine, then it turns out to be some kind of survey, I fill them with fake answer, and then eventually the support still ask  me to pay 0.1BTC to withdraw my fund.

So today i found a website called bitcoinbetus.com ; it looked interesting for my gambling addiction so i said sure, i'll deposit 100$ and have some fun. Low and behold I pot a jackpot, play some more i pot another jackpot. okay i'm gonna withdraw now and i get flagged for suspicious activity. This is the support reply:

I mean really? i'm suppost to deposit 0.1 btc to be able to withdraw my balance? hahah okay, so i noticed this little thing on main page:

At this point i was extremely suspicious and i didn't want to install this to my machine. So i installed virtual box and booted windows there. I opened the file in sandbox and nothing happened. I was kind of expecting this and low and behold my bitdefender is logging connection attempt:

Suffice to say i shut down that virtualbox and won't run it again. STAY AWAY

First of all, thank you for informing the community. You were very brave to continue the process after asking you to deposit money in order to make a withdrawal. When I see a message like this I stop every activity and abandon the casino. It is the biggest red flag that makes me identify that a casino is a scam.

Hello OP
Please move the topic to the scam accusations section. May be the tds can do something about it if they have an account here. Let's keep this board clean. Thanks

Great that you opened the thread to make us aware of this scammer. Can you please also post the link of the website that tried to scam you?

There seems to be a confusion because a google search is not returning any website called "bitcoinbetus" and it is redirecting me to a parked page. Also there is another website called betus which seems to be a different one.

I believe you are talking about bitcoinbetus.com. If yes, include the link in the thread to pinpoint the scammer!

Good thing you have detected that suspicious website or else you may lose bigger than your $100 put up. It will also serve as a warning to everyone to be cautious especially in the web and don't pour large amount of money if you are doubful on the situations.

yes but the thing is nothing opened when i opened the app, in the background yes but no window or anything so i knew immediately something is wrong. 1 Min after there are connection attempts from the virtual machine. It's ok i can live with 100$ loss but this is just a heads up to stay away.

Good to be cautious on the virtual box but I often find falsely flagged apps just for anything at all to do with bitcoin, the various virus checkers presume anything crypto is a negative even when the app is legitimate.   I'm not disregarding what you said just mentioning thats a common confusion for anyone who wanted to use various blockchains or mine even, they get labelled negatively and some wont allow any kind of white listing.

I dont really like the custom software idea either exactly, normally these things are put onto github and its open source and everyone can pick it apart so I would guess you are right tbh

Not the first time I've seen unreasonable terms like that, usually on old websites that havent updated their costs in ages so it becomes unusable.
