I found the site, as I had planned on using it, while browsing in tor i entered bitcoin blender in the search window and that is the site I clicked on and used. I am a total newby as this was my first venture into bitcoin and the deepweb. Won't get fooled again. Thanks to all those on this forum who helped and advised me. It was good to see that the majority of this community is not comprised by dirt bags. Any suggestions on how to earn bitcoin or are the all scams as well?

First , don't believe any service that promiss doubling your coins or even those who give you ROI (return of investment) after X days , because they could start legit but they all end up as a scam .
If you want to earn bitcoins with the minimum efforts and you don't have any skills (like programming/designing etc....) then you could enroll into a signature campaign that pays well. (you will need a higher account rank though , a Senior Member or above would be good)

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS SCAM AND BOGUS SITE.
I think it's important to mention this .org site is a copycat running the scam, as the orignal sites are
bitblendervrfkzr.onion/ for TOR and https://bitblender.io/ for the informative site.
There's copies of many popluar sites out there used to scam, just check how many times we get blockchain.info (blockhcain etc) fakes.
I've contacted the BitBlender team and made sure they help raising awareness of the fakes site.

As for OP, I'd suggest you to check links better the next times, so you don't get fooled again.
Also make sure to always verify the PGP messages when using BitBlender and other mixing services.
I'm sorry for your loss.

Start by following the scam report format first : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scam-report-format-use-it-to-make-scam-reports-properly-260073
You should also provide a TXID and a proof that the address you sent to is indeed from Bitcoinblender.org as It could be any address... I have some doubts though as I guess you sent your funds to a phishing website.

As you can see here : http://bitcoinblender.org/ (what you used) & https://bitblender.io/  have similar designs. BitBlender.io is a legit website and also advertised in Bitcointalk forums : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitcoin-blender-anonymous-bitcoin-mixer-436467 while I can't find anything about the website you mentioned so how you find it in the first place ?

While attempting to use the bitcoinblender onion site and on the tor browser
I searched bitcoin blender and was directed to the dot.org site where I
set up an account to which I sent bit coin from my Electrum wallet, the
money was sent to the address provided by this bogus site and it never
arrived in my account, yet a block check definetely shows the coin
as having been recieved at the provided address.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS
SCAM AND BOGUS SITE.
