No.

1. If you had Bitcoin in your wallet before the fork = You also have the same amount of Bitcoin Cash in your address.
2. If you had Bitcoin in your BittRex account before the fork = You also automatically got the same amount of BCH deposited in your account.

This is all BEFORE the fork. Now, if you send Bitcoin to your BitTrex account you will only see Bitcoins in your balance; If you send Bitcoin Cash, you will only see Bitcoin Cash.

No, I transferred bitcoin from another exchange to a new, completely empty account Bittrex to bitcoin address. I know about fork, I know that they are 2 different coins. But somehow I accrued bitcoincash. I was surprised.

Bitcoin =/= Bitcoin Cash.

The coin you will send to the deposit address in BitTrex is the one that will appear in your balance. The only way to get Bitcoin Cash "for free" from your Bitcoins was when the fork happened and you had Bitcoins stored in your wallet. Now that both chains are already working separately, they are two different coins.
