In BTCz we trust. Organic slow growth.

I'm proud of announcing the release of BitcoinCashClassic a cryptocurrency from the community to the community!

The specs:

Total coins ever mineable through PoW + PoS: 21000000 XBS
1st year total mining reward: 16000000 XBS - (redeemed coins with 1:1 ratio swap)
PoS stake reward: 0.5% starting from block 800000 (around 11 months after launch)
Max blocksize: 6Mb (Biggest blocks in cryptos)
Block Time: 60 seconds (optimized for the fastest tx confirmation time without compromising security)
Algo: Sha256 + PoS

To ensure a proper and fair launch XBS will feature a slow start mode. The first 1440 blocks (nearly 1 day of blocks) will produce 0 coins each block to give time to everyone to point their miners to XBS.
Then, every 1440 blocks until we reach 50 coins per block, the block reward increase as scheduled below:

Last block number will be modified according to the total amount of XBS will be redeemed through the 1:1 swap.

Up to block 1440: 0 XBS
Up to block 2880: 5 XBS
Up to block 4320: 10 XBS
Up to block 5760: 15 XBS
Up to block 7200: 25 XBS
Up to block 8640: 50 XBS
Up to block 432000: 25 XBS
Up to block 864000: 12.5 XBS

Did you abandon this project?

With nVidia pouring tons of 1070 TIs in the market and all the difficulties through the roof, we need more coins to counter the impact and spread the miners!

Thanks!  Grin Grin

Did not understand what the meaning of the coin, did not find what the purpose is, 8 mb and other blocks are not much innovation, the road map is not very clear.

Redeem phase will last until block 480000.
You can redeem XBS also with BCC private keys.

So it's no longer possible to claim?

Or there is a difference between these types of claims and somehow the BCC claim version is still working?

I still have to decide if give the users the claim function or not.
I think that to avoid mass initial dumps it would be better to have a new clean blockchain and tx history for XBS.

Mining hashing power (both pow or pos) gives network value.

I'm opening a poll now to decide which algo use for mining. You are called to vote between:

- sha256d

- x family

- brand new algo
Wondering what is x family algo. Listening for the first time about this one.

X11, X13, X15.

Many coins out there uses those algos which are however engulfed by asic miners too.

Dash (at the time DarkCoin) invented the X11 algo back in the years.

Here it is the form to proceed with XBS redeem.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdx-tcLW8AAMMx5YmH9UlEQgYTnKKJB-O-9RqTFIhdUmA2nRw/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please follow the following instructions:

1) Open your BTC wallet (you can't do this from exchanges) and transfer your BTC funds to a new and fresh BTC address, preferably on a different computer so to ensure it's a completely different private key.

2) Export the private keys from your (now empty) old BTC wallet. The procedure to export private keys depends on which wallet you are using.

3) Fill the form with your private key and email. Double check every information because it's the only way your can correctly claim your free balances.

If you follow those simple instructions your actual BTC funds will be safe and your succesfully redeem XBS.

Redeem phase will last until block 480000.
You can redeem XBS also with BCC private keys.

What the hell is this? Stealing BTC?

Looks like that, hope no one will jump on this bait.

No one in strong mind.

I suppose those of us who use a hardware wallet (e.g., Trezor) are basically disenfranchised because accessing the private keys is as involved as throwing a Bar Mitzvah Safari in Somaliland. As an alternative, can you work something out where we sign a message in order to prove PoS for various addresses?

You should take a snapshot of the current Bitcoin blockchain and use that as starting balances rather than having people send you old private keys.

Also make sure to have replay protection in BitcoinCashClassic like BCH did so there is no unexpected problems with sending XBS.

You will have a lot more support this way than having people send you old private keys in a google form/email/PM etc.

This post is not an endorsement, just my suggestions.

I agree, this is the way to go. Easier, more fair for everyone and much more secure (no need to expose your private key).

...Collect users BTC private Keys...

Am I missunderstanding or are you crazy? In what world would users willingly give their private keys to a third party?

Obviously people have to follow the same exact procedure as of Bitcoin cash to keep their coins safe. Transfer the actual funds of the BTC address of which you will use the private key to redeem XBS to another fresh BTC address before using it to redeem BitcoinCashClassic will ensure that your BTC can't be stolen or used.
BitcoinCashClassic is taking balances valid until Bitcoin block 479000 (25 blocks ago).

Ahh that makes more sense, I didn't realise you were taking the blockchain snapshot at a point before launch instead of at launch Smiley

Also would you consider moving the snapshot block and pre-announcing it? After the BTC/BCH fork settled I moved a bunch of coins back onto exchanges that I doubt I'll be able to get private keys for and I'm sure I wont be the only one.

Maybe is a good idea dev if the block taken as snapshot for BTC balances is set into the future.

I have a new supply distribution proposal, would like to know what the community thinks about it.

- Collect users BTC private Keys (through a form) to import in the genesis block all the existing BTC transaction history in XBS blockchain. (The same concept as BitcoinCash)

- After BTC private keys are collected, I'll send back to owners email a private key for XBS with the equivalent amount of coins that were owned in the correspondent BTC address

- Genesis block is generated with roughly 16 Millions of XBS (the actual amount of BTC circulating at the moment) and users who claimed the XBS priv key with their BTC priv key just need to import the received XBS private key in the XBS wallet (which will be released after BTC priv key collect).

- PoS kicks in from start

- PoW will follow the same BTC schedule with the main difference that XBS has 60 seconds blocks, instead of 600 seconds blocks, so the supply production will be faster. A good alternative is to keep a different supply schedule to avoid large inflation in short time due to shorter block time.

Let me know your thoughts.

OK, so where is the wallet download link and mining pool? Huh Huh Huh

As I specified above in the OP wait a few hours and every link will be online.
Thanks everyone for the support so far.

To redeem XBS with BTC private keys a form will be made so that we can gather together swap claiming users, add them on the merkle hash from genesis block and start.
In XBS you can claim coins using your old BTC private keys exactly as you did for BCH.
An instruction post to make a successful swap will be online too asap.

Sounds good.

so it ends up the big farmers only get bigger with projects like this! sorry but the few huge ones out there will sweep this up in a heart beat and leave the small single gpu farmers dry in the mouth!

You know that ASIC miners are available today for almost every kind of algo?
I think Sha256 is fair because ASIC of this kind are the most affordable and you can use the same which you are using to mine BTC, this gives a great starting userbase to a coin.
I think PoS is good because gives people the chance to mine without hardware, just holding their coins in wallet.
