It's common for beginners who are used to panic sells and will hurt themselves and can not wait for the price to go up again, and your move is great for always investing in bitcoin currencies.

Yes. Correction will definitely happen, if a coin will increase. Whether it's a big or small correction, we just need to wait for the correction time to end and the price of the coin will be covered to a higher price.

yes of course ! BTC will fly into new heights again very soon. Currently it is bit dipping down and soon it will start resuming its journey again !
It is easy to say that the price will start rising, the interest level in bitcoin is understandable and there is a hell lot of investments that came in this year, but how long these sort of investments will come in,there is a real danger with institutional investments as they could dump everything at once which might not be good.Even if there is a correction i would gladly wait and pick up some coins rather than having a panic attack. Some people believes that bitconi can corret at 8k USD, this is the biggest correction after september.
I guess that HODL is best thing to do, just hold and no worry about it.

But a correction to 8k can bring change to get more BTC if you can sell higher and buy lower.

Nobody can predict whether bitcoin will spike now or will comedown to $10,000 mark. I'm researching on the trend and observed there's no down trend to happen below $12,000. You may wait for the bitcoin price to be around $12,000 or buy now.

It's newbies most of the time that practice buy high sell low principle. All they need to do is make a couple of researches to calm themselves down in case the price drops due to corrections. As you've said, btc always bounces back afterwards.

I see many of us are in the favour of growth of BTC for all our good lives and good future. Even i would do the same thing, just invest and forget it for some years if we all truly believe in blockchain technology. Now is what i am doing is averaging and geting some profits whenever major correction happens as is the present scenario. This type of correction will happen as and when when some major resistance is found ,hence the major correction. So chill relax and watch it rise and drop.

Volatility in bitcoin, of course, is high, it goes down in price so much that these figures are not for weak nerves. However, there was still no case for bitcoin to drop by 40 percent: from 20,000 to 11,000-13,000 dollars, as it was the last time. In addition, this time his correction is aggravated by the exacerbated shortcomings of bitcoin - slowness with hung transactions and exorbitant commissions for their conduct. In addition, the drop in bitcoin is slightly affected by the passing Christmas and New Year holidays. All this in the aggregate constitutes an unsightly picture for bitcoin. All the hope for the fastest introduction of the network of lightning in bitcoin, which can eliminate these shortcomings of bitcoin.

Correction of the some cryptocurrency - it's a normal thing. People that hold it even when it drops are smarter that the people who selling it at low price.
For most newbies it's at a point where they're more interested in buying high and selling low than trying to hold and make it through the turbulent and volatile moments that make up the entire crypto market. A lot of normies are trying to get into it too and it's hilarious seeing their weak hands at the bubbles they created, every single time. There are so many people I see trying to do crypto right and doing it horribly wrong, oh boy.

But there are a lot of people doing it right too. You just have to look in the right places to get a good idea of the general feel of it all.
The right people take home profits because of their patience. Profit from weak hands are our source to produce profit. These newbies likewise lost a lot because of eagerly knowing bitcoin with out considering its volatility.

The investors in bitcoin should aware of when to sell the bitcoin and when to buy a bitcoin. It's very simple, you have to buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high. The price of bitcoin will surely vary with the time period,so you have hold with the patience to get the profit from it.

If you consider Bitcoin as a short-term investment, it would make you crazy. You will check the price every 10 minutes in the beginning and the high volatility will make you bonkers. I have seen Day traders exiting the scene without any profits, because they panicked at every drop in the price.

The real Long-term hoarders will check the price once a month. ^smile^

For me, I also see that this present correction has been completed at $11,000 mark. The coin is getting set for another break at $15,000. Meaning, this is a time to buy and follow the upward ride to profit taking.

Newbies that aren't used to the volatility kind of freak out when things drop 30%. It's always been the way. If they stay around, they'll do well. If they decide to sell back to fiat they're just screwing up their future. No big deal. I'll still be heavily invested in Bitcoin.

I do not think that selling off what one has is screwing one's future rather one is using what they have to solve their problems. Therefore, selling off fractions of bitcoin when you don't have any other financial help is helping your situation by yourself. I do that too when I don't have what else to help myself. Bitcoin has been helpful.

Any time I sell any bitcoin I've screwed up my present because it could have been so much more. It's lost potential when I shouldn't have ever spent it at all. You're absolutely screwing yourself if you get rid of a good portion of your stack. You may never be able to buy it back.

Nevertheless, newbies can do that pretty well!

Yes i can understand it really depends on the trust on the blockchain technology and patience in holding those valued assets even during the deeper correction. And this time the correction was price based correction which normally took more than a week to settle downed and now the correction is over and once the strong bullish pattern is formed you can expect a new record high soon.

If you invest in BTC (or any cryptocurrency for that matter) because you are convinced by its technological soundness and economic viability a large drop will be tough to watch but shouldn't influence your decision making -- after all you believed your investment to be a good deal when you bought in. Bitcoin itself doesn't change just because its valuation does. If anything it has become a better deal since you last invested in it.

At least that's the mindset you should be working with. If you invested in crypto merely because of its rise in price it will be hard to bear market reversals. If you feel the absolute urge to exit the market you either a) invested for the wrong reasons or b) invested too much. Possibly both. The best course of action is avoiding to get yourself into such a position in the first place, ie. do your homework and don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

[...] So just dont keep watching the charts every minute and give it sometime Smiley [...]

B...b...but watching the market go crazy is half the fun!

I tried to trade short term before thinking I could ride the waves. But it didn’t turn out well. The more attention I paid to the market, the more implusive decision I made. In the long run, the return on frequent trading is not as good as long term holding because one or two wrong decisions could cost all gains. So I will just leave them there and check periodically from now on.

Well bitcoins..are something...that are unpredictable,  and when the time moves forward... Then there are things that the crypto currency world that faces...and right now.. the things are going down for a while and I do think it's fair enough because it was going up .. too.

And times like this are interchangeable and there will be some days ..when the bitcoins will soon reach their own value..that is somehow.. acceptable.

Also bitcoins future.. and other things are just .. making its roots stronger.. I feel that after the new year , the bitcoins will increase in value and everyone will be able to gain profit.

We just need to wait..for that time to happen.

Best advice I’ve heard (on CNBC of all places) is put 1% of your net worth into bitcoin and don’t look at it again for 10 years.  You’ll probably make a fortune and not freak at every “crash”.

I can’t do it, though.  I love Cryptos and want to follow all the new developments.

The advice does look good on paper but in reality it will never work...
Why? Because simple mathematics

For bitcoin to grow 100x the possibility indeed exists but it will be a very tough road and beyond that ....1000x looks almost impossible.
So, putting 1% of your investment into bitcoin might double your whole capital.
Of course it looks nice, but it won't work because of greed.

Everyone will go...so I will double my money,no.. I want to make it 10x, no wait 100x ,or even better
So they end up putting 10%, all their money, taking loans...and so on

Good advice but probably less than 1% are going to put in 1%.

... just dont keep watching the charts every minute ...

As a new member to cryptos along with my lack of knowledge in trading, this was exactly what I was doing  Roll Eyes
I did make small profit everyday by riding the 1-minute-wave but when it drops I freak out and sell at a loss. This just doesn't work. Trading is not for me.
Funny thing, when it drops, my brain goes crazy and starts to think like this:

"OH NO! the whole market is going down, people are giving up on bitcoin and cryptos. SELL NOW AND SAVE YOURSELF!!!!!!!1"

I lost some money due to being hasty, restless Cheesy  wrong decisions killed my enthusiasm. After a while, I stopped counting how much I lost.
The first loss was hard on me, but the next one was always less difficult Grin after a while I noticed that I have a smirk when I lose Cool at least I don't have a family to support.

Newbies that aren't used to the volatility kind of freak out when things drop 30%. It's always been the way. If they stay around, they'll do well. If they decide to sell back to fiat they're just screwing up their future. No big deal. I'll still be heavily invested in Bitcoin.
