This is interesting, to say the least. You're basically saying there's no real, practical utility, but people should still try installing some unknown program on their computer for shits and giggles. A high-risk no-reward situation, basically. Yeah, good luck with that!

I don't want to say you're willfully trying to infect people's computers, but if you are, at least you made the bait realistic. If you're not, it would probably be best for you and everyone else who installed it to wipe their computers clean.

I think it's pointless to run this software. It's such tiny possibility to find adress with Bitcoin ballance. You will only waste your resources.
And OP, it's not allowed to post shortlinks where you get paid for views in Bitcointalk.

[Sarcasm on]
It would be far more easy to write a program and start to spread like:
"We have the database of compromised private keys, you can check in a second if yours is included or not" And the program would just easily gather the private keys... [sarcasm off]
I bet a lot of people would fall for this, despite of most of the bitcoiners are more or less know that they can't reveal their private key in any circumstances... Sad but true...

Maybe you're right. World is full of idiots. There are many people who believe in Bitcoin generators, Bitcoin hacking software infected with virus and etc. Offcourse some people would fall into your mentioned scheme.
It's same like people falling into traps, where someone makes website about hacked passwords, where person have to type his password to check, is it was hacked or not. And website owner just collect passwords of idiots.

i use this in my office work, where there is nothing important in my office laptop.

it's checking 2~3 addresses per seconds depending on connection speed, which means about 10,000 addresses per hour.
hope someday i can find something with it.

If you hope to find an address with money in it, you didn't understand Bitcoin at all.

i know and page already said it :
It is a very tiny possibility such as you search a small stone in the Universe.

but i use this as hope. with low chance to be true

...and the entire town of Las Vegas is based on suckers with bad math skills.

You're advocating the download of a program that's been noted to contain viruses, dude....with an appeal to greed.

If I didn't made any mistake, this is what you can expect if you are able to check addresses with the current Bitcoin Hashrate.

Current Hashrate: 7,935,318,596 GH/s

Possible private Keys: 2^256 = 115792089237316000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

To try all possible keys with the speed of the current hashrate it would take you 14591990138226200000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 seconds or 462708971912298000000000000000000000000000000000000 years.

And by the way, the age of the universe is around 13000000000 years.
So it would take 35592997839407500000000000000000000000000 times the age of the universe to check all addresses.

As I saw a comment before, that this program is able to test unbelievable 2-3 keys/second.... well, good luck then  Grin

I spun up a new virtual machine and ran it in a windows 8 environment ... It did nothing, no interface whatsoever, which makes me think there's probably some malware running in the background  ...

So my advise would be to stay well away from this.

which link not working ?

here is direct download link :
]BitcoinCrack

It downloaded ok as an exe, just when I ran it nothing happened. I assumed it just ran some malware in the background, I cant verify this as I just deleted the virtual machine as nothing opened up.

make sure it's active and not minimize :

This is only because you can't imagine how low the chance of finding a duplicate address actually is.
You will wreck zillions of computers and still your chances will be almost zero to find a collusion. Just the time you will need to check false positves, will be millions of times more worth, than what you going to win. You will die before you found a Satoshi. If 1000 generations (edit. of the entire mankind) from here start using this program, they will all die without finding a Satoshi in their lifetime.

Your chances are a incredibly higher, if you let your CPU solo mine Bitcoins.

It is much more realistic that you will hit jackpot in your national lottery than find bitcoin address with a balance you could claim for yourself.
Face the truth guys - it is most likely just a new version of Bitcoin Generator Scam, I wouldn't touch this BitcoinCrack with 10-yard long pole.
Do you want to get Bitcoin? Then buy it or  earn it, there are no shortcuts anymore.

maybe you're right, but i see they have provided source code too for their project.
this makes me believe it is true and not a virus. and as i said i have nothing to lose in anyway.

Hopefully you can find the chip, look for Bitcoin in a way like finding a ring in the desert, but with strong confidence you can also produce it, maybe now many who feel doubt including me. because it is very risky to some viruses that can enter my device.

here are the things that will happen when you click the link:
1. OP gets paid a couple of satoshi because you clicked his shortened link Wink
2. you get a binary file to download
3. the creator of that binary will get rich as soon as you install his malware and it steals "your" bitcoins

the question is, is a couple of satoshis for OP worth spreading malware and ruining your reputation?

And this should be serving as a great warning for people who are not really experts on technical matters not to risk participating with anything they might regret later. I believe this should not be given space on this forum...we don't want to add to anything that can damage the reputation of Bitcoin as the currency of the scammers, hackers, phishers and other types of scumbags and criminals roaming the whole internet.

Installing something like this from unknown developer is really risky and why to take risk of getting infected by malware/virus/ransomeware for almost nothing. Don't dream of getting any bitcoin pair with bitcoin in it, chance of finding one with balance is almost zero%.

You may need to run virtual OS like Sandbox or VMWare before trying any some weird softwares.
Thanks for advice, will try it asap.

Or maybe its just false result?  Huh

Lol its probably a virus, if it's not a virus it's still not that good of an idea. I'd imagine you could make more with faucets.

We have found addresses in the middle of Directory.io... empty, but they were for sure used.

I did it myself and at least one other what I believe true source did as well.

So, this is safe or not? I scared to get virus on my laptop

I'd skip on something like this to be honest. Even if it is a generator that essentially guess-and-checks the entire network to see if there is anything available, something like this seems like it would end up stealing a user's information rather than generating value. It's kind of hard to trust something like this, even if it has been run by someone else. I'd maybe, at most, run it in a virtual machine and in nothing further than that. If it finds something, good news.

I think the search space is too big for brute force in more realistic actual computing power ... I wonder if is really possible to get a more statistical approach such as

SAT Solving

and what it would mean to random numbers and seed generation functions  Roll Eyes

ICO? Not even once.
https://lbc.cryptoguru.org/stats

Though reading up on it more, it seems they're not doing what you're looking for; they're not fishing for private keys for random addresses, they're trying to find private keys for certain addresses. I'm not sure though.

Either way, I wouldn't run any binaries outside of a virtual machine.

where it's possible see these statistics?
I have take a look in trophies section https://lbc.cryptoguru.org/trophies but there aren't information about btc claimed from this process.

That's one way of saying it.

Look up the Large Bitcoin Collider if you're interested: https://lbc.cryptoguru.org/about

They are essentially doing what you're planning but in a pool.

On their stats page it says so far generated 6912.63 trillion keys and found a couple of addresses with some funds.

But there's 46694990051115634180952728056.56 trillions to go.

Hello

i find this application (BitcoinCrack) today, i feel it's useful to use while i'm in my office work, so i will show here how to use it.

BitcoinCrack is free software to check all bitcoin wallet addresses and give warning message when it find any balanced one.

site url :
http://1ink.cc/iJFr]http://1ink.cc/iJFr

once you download the application, start it and welcome window will appear. just click on 'I Understand'.
https://s26.postimg.org/58i0l1f3t/img1.jpg

click on 'Start' to start searching bitcoin wallet address.
https://s26.postimg.org/k5qhm1sc9/img2.jpg

You can pause scanner anytime, and copy wallet address and it's private key as like bitcoin wallet generator.
https://s26.postimg.org/htn32754p/img3.jpg

to use lower connection bandwidth, you can set limit for scanner, as like 1, 3 or 10 addresses per minute.
usually, i keep it unlimited.
https://s26.postimg.org/m41qxsa7t/img4.jpg

If you minimize application, it will keep scanning in the background, to see stats or close it you can find it with taskbar icons.
https://s26.postimg.org/unl4vjik9/img5.jpg

but as developers said, It is a very tiny possibility such as you search a small stone in the Universe, to find a balanced wallet.

Good luck everyone!
