Bitcoin can not save any country, and this fact won't change.

A country is big and complicated with many elements that decide its success or failure, and Bitcoin as a single element, can not change a failed nation to a succesful one. It's unrealistic mission for Bitcoin and Bitcoin does not have that mission when it was created by Satoshi Nakamoto.

It's clickbait trick by politicians or Youtubers or people who want to make noise on social media.

It can only save a country economically - El Salvador is a good example of this. Argentina (to a limited extent) too.

If the country has other kinds of problems that are not financial in nature then Bitcoin is going to do little to solve those. For example, take these 'immigration crisis' or 'gang violence'  problems that many countries have. Obviously, Bitcoin is not going to help there at all.

I started to watch it but I didn't finish it. I think after 20 minutes or so I stopped. It tells me nothing new and found it pretty boring to be honest. I suppose it will be more appealing to those who don't know much about bitcoin, not those of us who have years of experience in the subject.

By pure chance I recently discovered this independent documentary called "Bitcoinners", which came out on 14th November 2024. To quote the abstract:

Bitcoinners is an independent documentary film that takes an inside-look at the grassroots movement of die-hard bitcoin devotees and why they think Bitcoin can save America. Filmed from 2021 to 2023, this film follows a group of bitcoin plebs in Texas, and includes key interviews with well-known bitcoin voices.

I wanted to share this documentary with everyone here, as the it focuses on the individual stories of people within the Bitcoin community and avoids covering any technical details of the blockchain. Instead it really highlights how Bitcoin influences our lives and ideologies. I feel that this documentary would be engaging and interesting even to audiences that are unfamiliar or don't understand Bitcoin.

Are you aware of any similiar documentaries or films that focus on personal stories and ideologies around Bitcoin?
I have not watched any bitcoin movie before because I am not really into movies though. Documentaries and films like this are not really bad though,  it will help to create an awareness about the availability of a certain currency which the viewers may not have seen before. However, while praising the abilities of bitcoin, we should also be mindful not to over-glorify it to the point of sending out misleading information to the public.

Bitcoin alone cannot singlehandedly save a country from whatever problems it may be facing. It might try to address some economic issues, but the government on their part have a major roles to play in ensuring economic, social and political stability in their country.

I would normally agree with you but look how El Salvador pulled this. I think it worked for them. They become seriously rich thanks to bitcoin. If some other country tries the same thing (buying lots of btc), I think it will work for them too. Even the US is thinking about building a btc reserve. I don't think that's a coincidence. Bitcoin will make all of its investors rich like it has done before. Bukelele sees it, Saylor sees it, Trump sees it but somehow there are people who still can't see it.

I think the president starting a war against gangs weighted more in helping the country, the money El Salvador put on bitcoin is a lot for a civilian but irrelevant for state proportions, still it's a great marketing gimmick.

Why do you think bitcoin will save a country?. You are only misleading people that bitcoin can save a country or even the world although I believe that it can make a country rich but it won't be easy but I do think it's possible just like el salvador. I have seen many movies that mentioned cryptocurrency but it only shows you that it will make you rich and that's all that it says in a movie so I am not interested in watching the whole documentary although I may watch some of it only if I have time to spend watching it. I'd rather watch someone who really post genuine videos or interesting videos about cryptocurrency.

There are a bunch of Bitcoin related documentaries and movies, just search the net and find what you like.
You can also follow Joe Nakamoto on youtube, he posts interesting videos and worldwide personal stories about usage of bitcoin.

Well this is definitely a disputable point of view and I'll definitely explain why. Now the first question is why do individuals and big firms have an advantage when they Hodl bitcoin? To answer this let's talk about the effect of inflation which is dawning on literally every country since it's a world problem but the downside effects of inflation is more intense in some countries than others simply because of economic management and utilisation of resources.
They have businessses to operate and their core targets are profit for their companies. They can have profit by developing and selling their products, buy bonds of governments, investments their money to something that is where Bitcoin appears as one of their choices.

As an investment choice, Bitcoin since 2009 proves that it has best ROI.

Now if you agree that bitcoin can combat inflation then you can also agree that bitcoin can prevent a country from falling into economic crisis.
It's bigger than that, it's national scale, not business company scale, you're missing this important point. Bitcoin can not stop what it did not start, economic crisis, and you can not resolve any crisis by putting something like Bitcoin on top of that.

With your thinking, you will soon expand it to "Bitcoin now is stronger and it will be able to save the world, not only nation(s)." It's unrealistic too.

I don't get too excited about movies and won't get excited about movies on Bitcoin, many directors, film producer are always looking to make money so most of this stories including any that would involve Bitcoin has to be sweetened so as to captivate viewers, yes it may be good in terms of having new people converting to Bitcoin when the story throws a positive light on Bitcoin but my fear is that I would rather see people joining Bitcoin after they must have understood the advantages and disadvantages also understand that it's not completely safe out here too and scammers are also here looking for Prey.

Only giving out a positive vibe like Bitcoin can save America or the world is misleading. Let's not spread some false narratives just to get people hooked, some people has joined Crypto-currency and left because of what they were told wasn't what they experienced.
