Bitcoinnotify is a great service, what would make it even better would be if when it sent you the notification email, you also got the last, bid, ask prices on Mt Gox at that time of email notification. Also would be nice to know address in which payment came from. This would help with converting virtual goods to the fair rate at that time.
There doesn't seem to be an easily accessible way to find out what the "asking price" for bitcoins was yesterday at let's say 2:30pm.
