For mobile experience, it's much better if you have a native app. On Android for example: with a website, you need users to install downloaded APKs manually (also makes sharing APKs easier for noobs, which is bad in case of paid apps). With a native application, you can install apps from it and even manage updates and such.

I find making a native app harder than making a website but that's probably because I'm more experienced in the latter.

Website with both desktop and mobile versions+Native app is the best option, but you'd need to find someone to code the app if you can't do that yourself.

Would it need to have a client-side app, or can it be just a website with both a mobile and desktop version?

Why not script a full website with mobile capability? Dreamweaver has options for all of that...

What are you selling, exactly? Just everything?

This, I think, is a very important question, considering that the actual Bitcoin market economy (i.e., the actual buying/selling of goods) doesn't extend very far outside of Silk Road. For Bitcoin to succeed, it'll need to go far beyond that, but I haven't (yet) seen any marketplaces through which a significant amount of goods are traded.

I suppose that the best thing would be for places Amazon to accept BTC, but they're obviously not doing that.

Also, I'm sure this has been discussed countless times on the forums, but I guess that's why I'm a newbie!

Jailbroken would be a better route more than likely.

Sound like an interesting project?
I don't want to do this alone.

Well do you want a full exchange or just an interface/mobile trading app for another exchange? The latter will be a real challenge Smiley

Why did you change your picture?  Huh I liked that other one.  Smiley

I remember when I was your age. We wanted to do a CRPG. Good times. Nothing came of it of course, but it was a good learning experience.

Anyways, good luck with getting apple to approve. I'd recommend going into the Jailbroken market first.

http://claytoncondon.com is my portfolio.

I have done sites for many buisnnesses, I have also done a few that can't be shown due to an NDA between the companies and myself.

I have both ideas, and some programming experience. I really like this idea, and want to elaborate with others to make it a reality.

Your "recent projects" are a bunch of modified free templates.

By helping you would be doing one of the following:

- Helping Me Develop The App/Website (I have experience in making sites)
- Making a few graphics
- Marketing
- and eventually I will need a few people to test the service.

Oh, you're the Idea Guy, i guess?

Good luck with this endeavour.

The sad truth is that Apple hates external innovation, so Android it is for this app Tongue
