When I click the "Receive coins" tab, the receiving address is in the list of my Wallet.
In the bottom left of my Overview screen I get a green V sign, and it says "Up to date" and "Processed 224578 blocks"

Sounds right.

I created my wallet.dat on a Linux system with the Linux bitcoin client,
moved it on a USB stick to a Windows machine, where I'm running the Windows bitcoin client.
Could this be causing troubles?

Nope, that wouldn't cause any problems.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the important thing to note is that according to the blockchain that address now has 0.03BTC (which you can see here http://blockchain.info/address/14BjCuxbgPH2gnnyKqMS7f7JXpgmFzLUEy ), so your BTC is safe, its there, but for some reason your wallet software isn't recognizing that it is.

Hmm.. That transaction looks perfect here, its been included in a block and has 16 confirmations now. Your receiving wallet should be showing it.

Double check the receiving address and make sure the wallet is connected to the network.

The transaction ID is fe0182b76245bbbdba1e546f0bd4c9fa515730481c2092f1f37981cc36e4f188
And the blockhain is up to date in my receiving wallet, yes.

What is the transaction ID?

Is the blockchain up to date on your receiving wallet?

I was doing a test: transferring 0.03 BTC from one wallet to a newly created target wallet.

According to the source wallet, 0.03 BTC have been removed.

However, the target wallet, has 0.00 BTC and Number of transactions is 0. When I look to the address book of my target wallet, I have a receiving address.

When I enter this address in blockexplorer, it says:

    First seen?: Block 224563 (2013-03-06 17:22:50)
    Received transactions: 1
    Received BTC: 0.03
    Sent transactions: 0
    Sent BTC: 0

The target wallet is up to date at 224568 blocks.

So according to all this information, everything seems to be correct: correct address, this address belongs to my target wallet.

The only thing that's wrong is the actual Balance of my target wallet, and the number of transactions ( 0 ).

What else could be wrong or what am I missing?

I have also transferred bitcoins from my source wallet to a website wallet, and this transaction was successful AND the bitcoins showed up in that wallet, so the problem is not related to my source wallet I think.

Meanwhile, still no balance in my target wallet after 3 hours, and no transactions.
