1. Keepkey could have prevented that.
2. The phone co should have some liability.
3. The phone co's will at least be forced to change protocols
Im thinking class action. Think of all the hacks we never hear of.

Yes the ability to transfer a number to a new carrier with just a small amount of information is a serious vulnerability.
Most sites allow you to reset a password simply by sending an email, and most emails can be reset with a text message sent to the phone on record...

Apparently the Augur database that was compromised had the names, emails and phone numbers of early investors.
It seems like you should need some other identifying info if you couldnt provide the phones serial number to change the number to a new provider.

It really can happen to anyone,vulnerability should always be our concern when we are going online,every security measure should be employ whenever we go online,one of the hackers used to perpetuate their social engineering is facebook,to much posting of your information is not good,you could become the next target.

Telecom companies cant be trusted for nothing... if i remember correctly, telegram had some conversations "hacked" because the telecom too. in most cases, there's no security on your number.
