Oh, we do have a Walmart here, but unfortunately they're not a Super Walmart (so they only have junk food-type stuff at the moment).

I would definitely be interested in this if it happened. Hopefully Safeway/Vons in California would be supported, as that's the only major grocery store in this town (unless Food4Less counts).

The refund issue was more of a you can not get a refund from the grocery store, you have to take that up with us. I didn't know allot of people worried about being able to return groceries. Thanks for understanding what the description meant (furrythunder)

The reason for Large stores is b/c those are the stores that are mostly found in other states so everyone can try the service.

No delivery was being offered, as I only put pickup in the description.

The thing with frozen items, is so that you do not have the food thawing out while you are on your way to get the groceries.

The main part i wanted to see was if people would like to be able to buy groceries with bitcoins. I've seen lots of awesome stores selling a selection of items, and I thought WOW necessities would be good to buy, like a bitcoinwalmart.

Foxpup obviously you have no idea what the poster is talking about. There not talking about the grocery store accepting bitcoins. If you actually read the post they are asking if people would be interested in them ordering groceries for you from the store and you go pick it up.

Would it interest anyone if there was Bitcoin Grocers?
Yes.

How it works:
You place the order online and allow 1 hour for pickup which would be done at Customer Service or a booth setup in the grocery store. Then you give the representative your online receipt and on your way you go…home to cook.
Actually, a number of major grocery stores already do online orders with home delivery. All we need to do is convince them to accept bitcoins as payment.

Stipulations:
• Only large major grocery stores
Why? The great thing about bitcoins is that anyone can accept them, with no limits.

• Frozen & Refrigerated items you will have to wait a moment for as they will get put in bags when you get there. (For health reasons)
Or delivered in refrigerated trucks.

• No return items
Again, why? Not only is this trivial to do (customer presents the goods and their receipt, along with an address for the refund, and they get their bitcoins back), it's actually illegal not to do it in most jurisdictions.
