Hey Kieran! I was using the title that the article gave "Bitcoin Hosting Black Friday...", but I went ahead and corrected my post title to reflect the change that Bitcoin is not actually hosting the event..but there is a huge Bitcoin Black Friday event this week.

I know it's pedantic to point this out, but the event isn't really run "by" Bitcoin (decentralised currency, etc etc), but any publicity it receives is good publicity Smiley

Hey, I am a newbie, and I wanted to share this article from CNNMoney. Bitcoin is hosting its own Black Friday Event on November 29th, and it looks like it will be quite a turnout among businesses participating. Of course Amazon is involved, and also Target, Marriott, and many others. Link: http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/26/technology/bitcoin-black-friday/

Here is an excerpt from the article:

"Gyft is also selling gift cards to Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500), Target (TGT, Fortune 500) and Marriott (MAR, Fortune 500) hotels. And people can also make charity donations with bitcoins". You will also find a highlighted title of another article about how Virgin's space passengers can pay with Bitcoin now.

I wonder if Bitcoin will host a Cyber Monday event as well?

On that note, I will be posting an announcement shortly regarding my participation in Black Friday (and Cyber Monday). I am bringing out large and small entertainment-related gifts and digital products that can be bought with Bitcoins.
