In China BTCs are much popular than in Russia

There are ~40 mln bitcoin addresses most of them are empty
There are less than 10 mln non-empty bitcoin addresses (please, correct my number if you know exact value)
So, there are less than 10 mln bitcoin-users over the whole world.

Are you sure that bitcoin has significant popularity in China with more than 1billion people there?
It it eye-drop in the sea.
As a percentage of the total population bitcoin is more popular in China then in other places of the world.

Its because of vodka its more things Tongue

Why do you think that Russians are good in bitcoin? There a lot of miners in Russia, because there are many possibilities for cheap upgrade of video, but it has a local character. To my mind, trade in Russia is on very low level, because there are no good tradition of board trading.
And Russia, of course, is not a leader in hacking.

I think, that significance in ablolute value (not in relative) is higher in China than in Russia. I mean for global market but not in local for Russia or China.

In China BTCs are much popular than in Russia, and, as I understand, btc-peak in 2013 growed up from BTC China board. I cant imagine that btc can become popular in Russia, so, the government tries to legalise it. And because of great popularity of btc in China they try to kill it.

The Bank of Russia called operations with cryptocurrency a potentially dangerous, because it can be used for terrorist financing or money laundering. Russian law enforcements are also have this in mind.
However, after press-release of Central Bank the government of Russian Federation have explained that does not apply negative to bitcoin and looking for ways to control it.

So the ruble has never been used for financing terrorism or money laundering? The least these governments can do is come up with better scare tactics.

Of course, rubble, as any other currency can be used for financing terrorism, but any transaction with real currency is much easier, than absolutely anonymous operations without person behind it and without permanent IP. It's obvious, that that drug dealers perfer anonymous TOR, than operations from hand to hand, and if he tries to push heroin - results can be real horrify.
In spite of the fact that Russia is one of leaders in herion application, our politicts in point of any drugs are very tough.

Hi, everybody. I had few experiences with bitcoins half of a year ago and everything was Ok, but there were a lot of rumours in news media, that it can become illegal in Russia. So, can anyone suggest me with this question. What about horisons of BTC in Russia? So, can i trade with them without huge risk, that bitcoins will have no price in rubbles in Russia.
Thank you.
