Glad its all good now. If you set up a node with a fixed IP send me a PM and I will add yours to the list. I made it in the past when syncing wasnt as fast as with 0.10.0, but as you can see its still useful from time to time.

Alright so the slowest piece is probably the internet connection. I think you should still be syned by now. Did you try the command Danny suggest above?

If you are not syned yet, try adding a few (or all) of the below nodes. Type (example IP)
Code:
addnode 185.45.192.129 add
in the dev console for that. This will not guarantee a connection, but only add them to your list of known nodes. If you want force a connection you have to start core with
Code:
-connect=185.45.192.129
which limits the connection to the given node(s). AFAIK it also works with multiple IPs, but I never tested that.
Code:
-connect=185.45.192.129,216.165.91.169

list (checked whether they are up or not just before posting):

Code:

yes but i also need to add -datadir:x.xx.xx.xxxxx. -zapwallettxes Smiley

You can combine several commands, just add -zapwallettxes at the end.

Are ther any known problem whit having another data dir than %useer% blblbl  Huh

Not that I am aware of. The problem might be related to the disk you store the files on.

My C drive is to small for the blocchain ....  Cry

i will trye the zapwallettxes comand as son it have synked
But i probebly end up to resynk the shit agen  Undecided

Is ther any short cut so it just go tru the dowloaded blocks already or do it have to down the cahin agen

Resyncing happens locally you dont need to redownload anything. It still takes a while depending on the CPU and the disk speed. Once the problem is fixed you probably should switch to a light wallet (list -> https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet ). If you only use bitcoin from time to time bitcoin core is a bit slow for that.

Or can i open up more ports to more seeds now i only get like 15 or somthing id like 200 connection same as when i download from Bit torrent  Grin
/ac  Tongue

More peers are not always helpful. The first 8 connections are made by your peer, every following connection is made form the outside and you will have to wait for other peers to connect to your machine.

Edit: Can you check what the CPU/disk load is currently?

Hi

Private key for address 1A9X8AzGJdp4BaBJbM4f8weYHmZfMnrMBQ is not known (code -4)

Is the answer when i trye to Dump Privkey for that transaction

And i have another transaction that is about 8 month old that also get Conflicted

but stil the money got drawn from wallet .......

Private key for address 18ULMy8YicJZULKxw5bP9aCYAQea4DGtKL is not known (code -4)
and that is the answer for that one  Shocked

And i cant finde the Check wallet comand anywher

Because it does not exist.  Most of the people "giving advice" here are borderline risking your money. I would suggest you follow Dannys advice, because he actually knows what he is talking about. Exporting and reimporting your private key(s) is risky. Anyone that has access to your private key can spend the bitcoins accociated with the address the key belongs to.

Wher shall i print that dont work in the consol and cant fine it in CMD command line ether ....

regards
AC Cry
Ps: Oh and i get priv key when i trye other address even when the walet not is 100% synked still 40 weeks behinde or somthing
Yes i run latest QT and Yes Wallwt is werry old about 4 or 5 yers.
That whay i still use QT befor it vas no problem but now it is horibel it resynk alot  :ds

Its probably best to let the wallet sync first. If you want to try "zapwallettxes" you need to launch bitcoin core with the command attached. E.g. in windows you would first close bitcoin core, open "run" (Press Win + R), enter the full path and command
Code:
c:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes
and confirm with "OK". The command will need to rescan the blockchain you already have on your machine which might take some time.

If you really need that bitcoin your friend can export the tx's input address's private key
and then he can import it into another wallet (electrum, online wallets etc).
Then send the amount to you.

Since the old tx isn't broadcasted yet,(new one) it'll be broadcasted and accepted.

how do we do that ? its actually really important hehe....

is there some guide ?
He's gonna open wallet (it doesn't matter if it's synced or not) and then console;
dumpprivkey inputaddress
it will return a string starts with 5
then he'll copy it and import into another wallet.

There're lots of topics about it.

Of course Bitcoin Core allows you to receive bitcoins at multiple addresses AND has many addresses it doesn't tell you about that are used for change from transactions.  It is quite possible (likely even) that the unspent outputs that make up the balance of the wallet are associated with a variety of addresses.  You would first need to get a full list of every address that you expect to have an unspent output.  Then you would need to run dumpprivkey for each and every one of those addresses.

Yes it says, you need to learn where to look.
If you activate coin (money) control feature and click the select input buttons you'll see something like that;

I've sent 0.01 btc from 1FAak to 1CaKiR address and 1KsP is created by core wallet as change address.
Input was 1Faak so 1KsP is kinda downline of it.

Electrum is very user friendly, so after knowing the private key(the one you get from dumpprivkey) is pretty simple, I recommend it.

I don't know much about Electrum, so I may be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that the newer versions of Electrum were no longer allowing the import of private keys since those keys are not recoverable from the Electrum seed?

Regardless, even if you are running a version of Electrum that does allow you to import private keys, you really should consider NOT doing so.  You are much better off sending a balance to an Electrum wallet with a transaction than importing a private key.

I use Electrum and I confirm the option to import a private key is no longer enabled (I don't know why it wasn't removed completely)

Instead of importing the private key it's much more secure to Sweep it if generating a transaction has some difficulties like an un-synced wallet or other reason.

What have we learned today?

Bitcoin Core is not for newbies. It is a "reference" client. It is intended to be used to validate Bitcoin features and to provide an example for other clients.

I am a Bitcoin old-timer and I run a full node, but I don't use the Bitcoin Core wallet. There are many much better wallets available. Bitcoin.org should stop promoting the use of Bitcoin Core for newbies.

If all else fails, simply backup wallet.dat, uninstall the client, delete the folder, reinstall and get a fresh copy of the blockchain. Also be sure to have non corrupted ram, or you'll get a corrupted blockchain often.

Since they sent the transaction before their wallet was fully synchronized, their wallet wouldn't have known about all the unsynchronized transactions.  Therefore, in the transaction being sent to you, it probably spent outputs that it thought were unspent, but that were actually already spent in the part of the blockchain that it hadn't yet processed. Then later, when it finally processed those other transactions, it likely became "conflicted" since it discovered that it tried to spend the same outputs twice.

If your friend runs their wallet with the -zapwallettxes command line option, it will "forget" all the transactions that it has built, and then it will re-scan the entire blockchain to rebuild the valid list of confirmed transactions that have been sent to and from that wallet.  When the re-scan is complete, they should see the coins are no longer "gone" (or if they are gone, then they should have the transaction history to see where the coins actually went).

If your friend is uncomfortable with running zapwallettxes, can you perhaps get your friend to supply us with the output after running the following command in the console:

Code:
getrawtransaction txid

Where txid is the transaction hash that their wallet says they sent to you?

That information should be enough to determine what outputs the wallet attempted to spend and why it was unable to do so.

Some news. The wallet is uppdated. Coins are gone but no transaction took place. He said something about that the wallet said it was "conflicted"Huh It was in swedeish so I'm just "hard" translating

Probably is the problem of only 8 connections, nothing to worry I would say.
But since the transaction is recent, just sit down some minutes and watch: your transaction probably got relayed now and a miner soon will put it on a block and it will get it's first confirmation.

But if so, I should see it with 0 confirmations right ?

Probably chain is not synced properly.
Before deleting all chain your friend should try those commands on bitcoin console;
salvagewallet
repairwallet

One of those will try to correct the wallet. if it doesn't work then it's needed to resync the block chain.

His wallet will need to be fully synced

This. As soon as it gets synced it will send the transaction.
The reason for that is pretty obvious: your address with the 0.4BTC could be already be used sometime in those 13180 weeks late of blocks, and then Bitcoin Core would fail and allow double spends.

can you provide the address to which the coins were sent? i think he sent them without fees

The Bitcoin-qt doesn't allow this. (unless you get the non official fork that allows that)

ah yeah you are right, is this feature coming for the next qt version? would be helpful for certain situation

It's not broadcasted yet.

But you can broadcast it manually then it'll be accepted and show up on the network.
first your friend needs to extract the raw transaction from the core wallet. (he/she can do it from console)
then it's needed to be broadcasted on here: http://blockchain.info/pushtx or here: https://btc.blockr.io/tx/push#!

It's been 13 hours now and the coins are still not showing up.

I used team viewer to check his wallet.

I can confirm that he did send the coins and got a hash.

It's 100% to the right adress.

Now thing is his wallet was 180 weeks behind something when he sent (it was still syncing)

We both had to sleep at that point and go to work today so neither of us can check his wallet now for some hours to see what happened, but anyway can the syncing of his wallet cause this problem?
Will the coins be sent once it's fully sync ? Or are we fucked ?
