I'm trying to calculate where Bitcoins will be trading at in a years time based on the current growth rate. Can anyone help me come up with some numbers? Is there a web site that calculates this already?

This diagram should help.

Speculation about this will get you nowhere. I think we all believe the value will increase, but we'd also all be better off by using Bitcoin as a currency rather than just an investment.

I would say in a years time it will be around $800 to $1000
Who knows though it could even go down but I doubt it will Smiley

Just idle speculation but, the price has roughly increased ten times a year for the past few years right? Say this continues, a dollar today is a hundred dollars in a couple years. (I like to pretend that stuff costs ten times what it actually does since I started investing, makes it easier to save money for coins instead of pigging out on unhealthy stuff).

That's if things continue apace. But I don't think they will. We are still in the "early" stages, it is mainly nerds and investors and nerdy investors that deal in bitcoins right now. A very small niche group of people. Once it becomes more accessible for ordinary people, especially so that they are less likely to accidentally destroy their own coins, a tenfold increase every year could seem trivial. There is a real chance that even a small amount of coins could make any of us a millionaire in just five years time or so.

Don't really think there's a way to tell, but I imagine it will get big.

Pick one between 0 and infinity.

If it was so easy to predict, it would be easy money, right ?  Wink

So far BTC had exponential growth rate. If it continues, multiply 10-100x every year  Grin
