It doesn't seem to be compatible with chrome:
"Oops! Google Chrome could not find bitcoinsurf.net"
But I can get to it through firefox.
I'm in the USA.

Yeah... same problem here. Doesn't appear to work in chrome.

How new is the site? Maybe the DNS servers across the world have yet to update.

Must be DNS or something because I can access and use the site just fine in Firefox, Chrome, IE, and even tested it in IE 6 Grin

The front-end itself is barebones at best. It's simple CSS and Javascript, nothing fancy.

And just as there is no misconception, this doesn't send the message directly to the Bitcoin client, though that would be something I would like to implement at some point, but rather, someone will need to visit the site and enter their BTC address to check their messages on that address. Like webmail.

This is very cool! Messaging should be a standard option when using Bitcoin.

Oh, and just a heads up. The message is currently limited to 256 characters. Don't know if that is a realistic limit, but figured might as well put one up just to prevent flooding. It's more than Twitter, anyway.

Submitted for your approval:

http://bitcoinsurf.net

A Bitcoin messenger that allows users to send messages based on a Bitcoin address. Messages can be retrieved by simply typing in the Bitcoin address you want to view.

There are no usernames or passwords, so anyone can view the messages. The only data that is stored is the date/timetamp, the message, and the Bitcoin address.
I've added Captcha to avoid unwanted spam.

Please add feedback or suggestions  Smiley

I'm hoping to eventually turn this site into a full service Bitcoin social network of sorts... "Social" being a relative term, since it's all anonymous  Grin
