*focusing on this, full post above

If you don't plan on doing anything wrong why hide your IP ?

Why do you want to expose your IP address, IP location, ISP etc. to every single site you visit when you can choose to hide such information? It is more about privacy and security than anonymity.

If this is true though he really should get a VPN that is decent and not rely on TOR.  I personally don't use a VPN a ton as my traffic is not that secret.  But TOR has always been slow and with exit node's possible info can be leaked... so it's not perfect.

If you read OP's story I still am not sure he's not trying to farm accounts, and this is real reason for hiding it.  What is odd's of 5 people in 1 house all wanting to sign up here the same day?   I think slim compared to chances of farming but I could have a jaded view.

Once you have registered an account you can use Tor (or any IP) to login, browse, post, PM, whatever. No restrictions over that.
or find a VPN?

Edit: Is this after you registered an account (which was what I thought at first) or when you tried to login on an existing account?

I've recently start to use TOR and just trying to log in on tor shows me this msg:

Edit2: It should be the former.

You want to enter crypto world, welcome but crypto world is not scam or theft world where you have to hide your identity all the time, I use bitcoin to pay less fees and be free of Paypal and the likes of it where anyone can hold my money and account hostage for any reason.
Sure bitcoin became the target of many thieves as it is not reversible and can be untraceable but it's not why it was created. bitcoin is to build trust between people, sadly crooks abused that.

You should make it very clear to everyone... This will only happen, when you create a new account over Tor and not for the daily use via Tor, IF the account were successfully created through a VPN or

open link, you will be able to login and contribute without any problems. Some users might reach this point and then give up trying.... I do see the reason for them doing this, and it makes total sense.

As a moderator of another forum, I know how difficult it is to stop spam posting originating from multiple bot accounts from the same IP's.

There is a troll called notlambchop who automated bitcointalk account creation through Tor using a bot. He/she used thousands of those accounts to spam the forum with gibberish. The mods spent long hours banning all those accounts. Most Tor exit nodes IPs have now been used by a banned notlambchop account, and require payment of a massive fee before they can be used to register here again.

If you are already registered you can use any Tor exit nodes IP without paying, it's the troll called notlambchop who made it difficult to register through Tor.

And they could use VPN but I'm sure it's hit/miss sadly due to spammers.  You always could go to a starbucks or a ton of other places that have free wifi and sign up if you are worried on being anonymous.

I will be honest if you plan on using the account long term I don't think the use of hiding IP is needed in most cases.  I will warn you with 5 accounts all being new it could look a lot like an account farmer.... so I would make sure posts have good content.

What if I want to use a VPN browser such as CrossKr on android?
Would I be in a bad area to get a ban  Sad
no, as long you use vpn for login and not for register new account because too many people create new id using vpn and for example you see OP problem.

it's simple, you can click a new identity or new tor circuit for this site, I also have experienced and it can return to normal login to this forum.

if you are looking for privacy just buy a VPN and use that to access bitcointalk and it is not so expensive and you can get multiples different IPs. also you can even pay for the VPN with bitcoin for extra anonymity and also convenience since you are a bitcoin user!

What if I want to use a VPN browser such as CPK on android?
Depending on the units of evil their IPs got, you might have to pay some BTCs at sign up.
If you want to find it out, just register an account and see yourself.

Afterwards (once your account is registered), the proxyban doesn't affect you anymore,
so switching with an existing account to an IP tied to some units of evil is no problem.

1. I NEVER do nothing bad here

Thats not the implication here.

2. I have no btc to pay

So dont.

3. I want to use TOR 100% and i can not use it here? It is all about crypto anons etc than Why i should be not able to use tor?

You can use Tor all you want, but you may(!) run into a proxy ban when you create a new account.

Yes i've tried to change location etc but all the time same message.

You need to change location and create a new account. Its possible to create an account over Tor without paying for it. Its a bit of work though. If you prefer to avoid this, go to some public WiFi, create the accounts there and use Tor for all further connections. This only applies when you create an account over an IP that was used to spam in the past. Tor is often misused to spam, dont blame the forum for protecting against this, blame the spammers.

Eh... okey i think i understand the politic of this FREEDOM WORLD here....

Thank You for information

I dont think you do. This policy does not affect your freedom of using Tor. It may not be as comfortable, but thats not what being free is about anyway.

it's necessary to prevent abuse. without that bitcointalk will get a LOT of spam posts from new users every day. it's not about you paying for other people or politic (seriously?) or anything like that.

tell your mates to create their account using their phones or something. after that they can use tor to log in anytime they like.

As proxybans afaik only strike during registration, I have to ask, what's wrong with the account you currently use?
If you are that desperate for an alt account, pay the fee or try registering it from another IP/VPN/exit node.

the think is that We are 5 in home starting with crypto and decide to make accounts for each one. Normally We were using just my account ( to read ) but They want to write some posts sometimes and i don't allow them doing this on my acc.

Today we create 1st account of my home mate and just got this msg.

Than it means our account will be not avaliable before We pay?

And next time when other friend come and want to make account he will see thesame?

Eh... okey i think i understand the politic of this FREEDOM WORLD here....

Thank You for information

Hello

I've recently start to use TOR and just trying to log in on tor shows me this msg:

Code:
Bitcoin Forum > Remove Proxyban

Your IP address has previously been used for evil on this forum, or it is a known proxy/VPN/Tor exit node, so you are required to pay a small fee before you are able to post messages or send PMs. You can still use all of the read-only features without paying.

Your account contains 1,243.42 units of evil. To atone, you must pay a total of 0.05002052 bitcoins (50.02052 mBTC; 5002052 satoshi). Pay to the address 1NYzcd55WWo6ohyNrJpGJyQnRFfx4Q7aUp. Once you have paid the full amount, wait a few seconds and then reload this page. If the fee is so small that your wallet is unable to send it, you can send any larger amount, though you will not be refunded the difference.

Alternatively, any forum staff member and some other notable members can manually whitelist you. Paying the fee is probably easier/quicker, though.

If you don't have any bitcoins, you can get small amounts of free bitcoins using the sites listed here. It is recommended that you give the free bitcoin sites the address listed above. Do not collect money in your own wallet and then send the bitcoins to the forum -- this will likely result in significant network fees.

If you find any bugs in this system, email pbbugs-...@.... For example, send email here if your payment is not registered an hour after sending it. You will be permanently banned if you send email here requesting free whitelisting.

Okey i can understand what i should to do and why but the think is that:

1. I NEVER do nothing bad here
2. I have no btc to pay
3. I want to use TOR 100% and i can not use it here? It is all about crypto anons etc than Why i should be not able to use tor?

Yes i've tried to change location etc but all the time same message.

If anyone can help me out will apprecite.

Thank You.

P.S

Yes i know some other people just did bad thinks here using this TOR but why i should pay for them? sorry but 20$ to pay just like this to continue to enter on this forum is a bit to much for me.
