People on Reddit were blaming Reddit for driving heavy traffic here, but I couldn't find any one highly voted thread that would explain it.

What's funny is that by looking at Alexa for bitcointalk.org I do twice the visits with no downtime at all. Naturally, without considering bots (I have loads of bots visiting my website, orders of magnitude more than human traffic).

My point is that this load is nothing impossible to handle and that the admin either wants the website not to load (like for simulating hoards of new users, even when if you look at Alexa you see only a 18% up in the last  3 months) or is too close to accept help from other people like me. I think I could help, for free...

It's hardly prime time, I'd be surprised if it was load issues, maybe an update?

What is up with bitcointalk lately?  Is it being DDoS'd or is it simply having scaling/backend server issues?
