It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

A few words about the quiz ... Key Metrics.
The data says that in two weeks 305 people took part in the quiz (I think repeated visits are also taken into account). In any case, thanks for taking part in this adventure, and by the way, few people noticed, but among the answers there were several characters from StarWars and StarTrek [Below you will find detailed statistics]
So far, the link to the quiz is active ... so any attentive person can easily answer all the questions correctly. In the meantime, I'm thinking about creating a separate topic for newcomers with questions (significantly expanding the list of questions). What do you think?
This is a reminder of how we should be contributing good to this forum, I can see the nominated members as one of the people that have contributed good and actively on this forum.
As those of us that was nominated but did not win, I still congratulate you people, it is not easy to be one of the nominees, we have all tried and contributed good. For those that are not nominated, you can still do it and win good, all you need is to make proper research about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and posting what you have learnt on this forum which will be helpful for many people, especially for newbies and anonymous users. The winners: hilariousandco, suchmoon, Rikafip, CryptopreneurBrainboss, Ratimov, o_e_l_e_o, LoyceV, Hhampuz, Lauda and satoshi. Congratulations to you all. I can only advice you to keep on your work on this forum as many of you will never be forgotten here on this forum. Ha ha!!! That quiz was great! Unfortunately, I suck at bitcoin/bitcointalk history and failed miserably with a 9/20. Oh well. That question about Quickseller and the escrow scamming was interesting, but I got the answer wrong--but I do remember TSpacepilot and his language recognition thing. What ever happened to him? I can't know for sure, but I guess LFC_Bitcoin should know more (given that they seemed to be in close contact). As for the quiz, [As I said before] I initially wanted to add 40 questions of this nature, but I thought it would be rather tedious, (the remaining unpublished questions will come in handy for the next round). And by the way, if you are interested in the history of the forum, you can see the chronological thread, (by xtraelv).
Ridiculous to me to only manage to get 8/20 on the first try. It's really a little challenging as I have to answer with the knowledge I gain on the forum. The second experiment probably doesn't matter anymore about the result because my eyes are still very fast recording which is the correct answer out of 20 question.
By the way, I like your quiz.
Ha ha!!! That quiz was great! Unfortunately, I suck at bitcoin/bitcointalk history and failed miserably with a 9/20. Oh well. This question caught me by surprise: I had no idea Zepher had that done for him. I remember when he died and some of his things were auctioned off, and I still have the silver skull I bought that belonged to him. Congrats to all the winners as well. I don't see any members I'd argue shouldn't have won.
Congratulations to all of you who won the nomination based on the choice of forum users. You do deserve the award and I hope next year we have the same event too. Thanks also to @icopress for bringing up this great idea.
Just a little surprised to learn that @DdmrDdmr didn't win any nomination at this event, but I firmly believe he's one of the gems on the forum right now. His knowledge and almost all the posts he wrote are very easy to read. Personally I like him holding one of those nominations. Lauda won two nomination, by the way. Indeed she is one of the most famous users on the forum like the artist who is currently named Miss Bitcointalk.
Congratulations to the winners for being the best forum contributions.
icopress has made a good idea and made several votes and now we know more about who contributed to this forum even with the winners the results of the voting are good enough maybe the newbie will know better who the names of the winners are and now it becomes our motivation all to continue to do our best. In essence we know that the famous names here will be the greatest of all forum times.
Congratulations to all the nominees and especially the winners ...
icopress great idea and great execution. All this allowed to give knowledge to many users about different functions that exist in the forum and that several users perform every day. Quiz 9/20 All winners will certainly enter future quizzes G.B.
Big congrats to all our winners and I wish ou all the best bitcoin experience. Many more positive contributions to the forum and best of luck.
Congratulations to the all winners!!
All winners deserve this honor and recognition for their excellent contributions to the forum. Such awards will inspire all forum moderators, DT members and others to do better performance in the next. Advance happy new year to all.
I was expecting that @CryptopreneurBrainboss will be one of the voted or will come out in the voting. It seems this members has a good reputation already among the bitcoiners here in the forum and I am also glad to it. Anyway to all listed winners of the voting may it be a little late from me. Congratulations! You deserve it and that you should be proud of that bitcointalk has reserved a place of you being one of the best members in the forum.

Congratulations to the winners...
Complicated but nice quiz, These questions are reminiscent of many old memories. It will take not more than 3 minutes to finish 20 questions, I Got 14 out of 20 By the way, nice avatars of the winner, these really matches their character, Now we have a couple in bitcointalk? Couple? Royse777, you embarrassed me a little...I can say for sure that one kiss is unlikely to change anything. Although I understand perfectly well that Foxpup 🦊 has a lot of hidden fans who dream of such a coincidence of circumstances, [by the way, they can deny their involvement in her cult] there are many other reasons why we cannot be together. Also, I don't think Foxpup has changed her habits over the past year ... habits that are detrimental to healthy adult relationships. legendary

it's probably theymos. ......... it's just too bad that the winner of the last 3 awards won't receive their prize. No No No, the kiss 🦊 is addressed only to me! You will not believe if I say that I organized this event only for the sake of this cherished moment. I am genuinely interested if there are any couples with us where both husband and wife are sharing the same mindset. Quote As for the nominations in which Satoshi and Lauda won, I can assure you that this question also bothered me until I contacted [[email protected]] them directly. They unanimously expressed their desire to trade their T-shirts for a T-shirt for Craig Wright and frankly, I was surprised that FedEx delivered the package to him before Christmas. Why I feel this could be a photoshopped image. I doubt Craig has any humor at all, although he is the original faketoshi.
Congratulations to all the winners, how I wish to be one of the winners but I am really glad to see some of the members I like to be among, and to every one that won, I congratulate you all.
Also isopress really tried, he took his time to do his possible best to make sure this was well successfully completed.
A big congratulations to everyone who won awards for their contributions to the forum. I do believe that it is okay to appreciate people from time to time for their contributions and support. This is what we have done as a community. To all winners, A big thank you to you guys for all you do for the forum. Your contributions didn't go unnoticed and has helped other members in one way or another. You guys rock, big time. Glad to see someone from my community, CryptopreneurBrainboss making the list of winners. Congrats man.
And to @Icopress, A big thank you for coming up with such an initiative and for still pulling it off. Not a lot of people can do it. You're appreciated as well. To everyone else who was nominated but didn't get to win, don't be deterred. You didn't win today doesn't me you won't get another chance. If anything, be glad a host of community members thought you worthy for an award. Keep contributing and everything would fall into place. Like everyone else, I did try out the quiz. Managed to get 10/20 correct. I got 5 wrong because I wasn't too sure of the answers. Even though I didn't get all correct, it was nice to get acquainted and learn about some forum history. At least I know a thing or two right now. Congrats to the winners once again and Merry Christmas 🤶 Everyone! it's probably theymos. ......... it's just too bad that the winner of the last 3 awards won't receive their prize. Big congratulations to all the winners and the runner ups too, we all deserve to be celebrated for keeping the forum this interactive and this entertaining. This was just a voting event and you not winning doesn't mean you aren't been appreciated for your contributions to the forum. The design look simple and smart although I would love to suggest that there should be some indications that this t-shirt are linked with bitcointallk and awarded from the community. All aren't having that indications on them like the category which I emerge champion isn't having bitcointallk on it and also the discovery of the year design. Something like this won't be bad ' Bitcointallk golden father' and Bitcointallk Discovery of the year'.
Don't misinterpret my suggestion as this were made with honest intensions. Big shout out to you icopress for coming up with this initiative and to all those that brought out time to vote for those they felt deserve the award. Thank you for participating. I tried the test but I suck and ashamed to post my result although after going through the thread, it seems I'm not alone on this and even surprised I did better than some result I'm seeing here lol. I also learnt some new stuff about the forum and industry's history so thank you once again for coming up with another interesting concept. Can't wait for what you have planned next for the community. Merry Christmas to everyone seeing this and a happy and prosperous new year in advance.
Congratulations to all the winners in their respective categories all well deserved for their efforts here on the forum. Merry xmas y'all.
I took part in the forum 20 quiz and to my greatest surprise, I thought Satoshi was the founder of the forum I never knew of Cobra till today. Thanks, @icopress you did a great job. My score I tried right
Congratulations to all the winners in the bitcointalk community awards, its just shows to us how well you have helped the forum to this extent and I'm proud to see you all with the designed awards, sorry for those that couldn't get the award like that of "the most discovery of the year" where filippone was overtaken by ratimov,
For the quiz, the questions were complicated and somehow hard to get it correctly, I I got 4/20, failed wholeheartedly. Was that your first attempt Cz my first attempt was disastrous Ahaha, well it was not my first attempt. My first attempt I scored like 6 or 7, but there was no rule saying you can't retake it, and so I did. At least now I've learned 13-14 stuff, I didn't know before. Thanks to this quiz of icopress. The people have spoken. Democracy is a success. What do I win? A form of Legacy. Keep up the good work! grats One more question, if I may (just out of curiosity): why the results of some users show X correct answers out of 20 questions, while others have X correct answers out of 22 questions... I answered to 22 questions, for example. But look at the screenshots of irfan_pak10 of jamyr, which show they had just 20 questions. I was a bit confused with that as well, at first I thought I had 6/22 but @icopress cleared that out via bitcointalk discord group (using this opportunity to invite other members to join us). So all good, we all had 20 questions. The design for the t-shirt are great, can't wait to see when it's placed on t-shirt. I agree, t-shirt designs look great, but I am not sure I would be comfortable wearing it, considering the one I won . I have to ponder for a while before I make decision on the matter. Might be a nice souvenir though.
Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to icopress for running the event [thanks as well to those that voted for me, even though I didn't win in any category] + creating another interesting quiz for all of us [I'm not pleased with my result but I did enjoy it a lot]
- BTW, I'm loving all of the "T-shirt layouts" legendary

This is not the first time that I have confused the names of people ... There are many reasons that could explain this oddity, but it is not that important, and all the same, I will remain mysteriously strange, in the end I must have my own distinctive feature. Lool, sry buddy, I forgot your sense of humour. Now that you quoted that discussion with The Pharmacist I remember it, as I read it back then if I was mistaken for several decades, I added "+" To the answer. I hope you also understand my point of view Hehe, I fully understand now. You are right Thank you for explaining me. One more question, if I may (just out of curiosity): why the results of some users show X correct answers out of 20 questions, while others have X correct answers out of 22 questions... I answered to 22 questions, for example. But look at the screenshots of irfan_pak10 of jamyr, which show they had just 20 questions. you just spoiled a question to others who didn't played it yet. you should've sent your advise via PM. I'm not sure how well you know this forum, but allow me to take your worries away: most of the users don't read the posts made above theirs and, in many cases, they don't even read the OP. So you don't have to worry: very few will see the spoiler and your both picture showing same question but the given options below are different? how is that? See, this is the perfect example of what I wrote above. I posted two different questions, but you didn't even take a proper look at my post and you wrote yours. If you'll look again (paying attention), you'll see there are two questions with different answers, not one question with two different sets of answers lol. I am not saying this because I don’t believe you, but because I think there are some questions related to events so old that even Theymos would probably have answered wrongly one or two questions. I've tested my knowledge in this actually. I tested it more than once, and I've learned that learning from your mistakes, can make you better. :p By the way, some old questions were familiar to me, as I have given Halab some example questions which were present in the quest, (uid=1, theymos id, etc) xD I am not saying this because I don’t believe you, but because I think there are some questions related to events so old that even Theymos would probably have answered wrongly one or two questions. First of all, that "Alex" name should be changed with "theymos". His name is not Alex... And I don't know who can be this Alex Thanks for your comment, I can assure you that I know Theymos's name, at least because we have common birthday dates. [+-24h]This is not the first time that I have confused the names of people ... There are many reasons that could explain this oddity, but it is not that important, and all the same, I will remain mysteriously strange, in the end I must have my own distinctive feature. [Like Foxpup, with his weekly publications from the future.] OK, that's odd--you just had "Alex" in place of "The Pharmacist" a second ago, which you also called me in your last PM. What's up with that? ........... You are a puzzling person, icopress. The second problem is with the answer itself. If theymos changed his mind and abandoned the idea of publishing Satoshi's PMs and IP, then, basically, the answer should be "Never". However, he stated after that this information would be of a great historic interest later. Later is not the same with never, but bear in mind that he still did not say a specific date (year 2045, 2060 etc.). Nor he said that he will ever post them... Being of historic interest decades later doesn't imply he will publish them (even decades later). Therefore, I think the correct answer should be "Other" (or "Another"), as nobody knows if theymos will disclose this information at all; and, if he will disclose after some "decades", nobody knows after how many decades. It can be after year 2030 or after 2040 or after 2050 and so on... Do you see my point here? Thanks to o_e_l_e_o for finding the post we are talking about, and as we can see, the "Never" answer does not fit, as does the "2021/25" answer.I agree with you that Theymos answer does not provide any guarantees, including "50 years" which he indicated as an example. I did not add the answer option "other", since I could not remember the quote verbatim (for how many decades he mentioned). And, in my opinion, this information in 20 years will certainly be of no less historical interest than in 50 years [although, I am sure, 50 years are indicated as an example], in any case, if I was mistaken for several decades, I added "+" To the answer. I hope you also understand my point of view global moderator

I can't believe I only got 4 out of 20 questions but to my defence, I got confused with some of the answers. but overall the quiz is really helpful by giving the reason behind the correct answer. it's probably theymos. legendary

Confirmed: I suck as a Ninja. 5 years of trying (hint your reg year) and still sucking is perfectly normal to be a Ninja. Good luck next time bud. Congratulations to all winners.~snip~ Who is the man? :-PDid I just score at the Top so far? There were some question which were confusing to answer however the first time I have enjoyed a quiz like this. The questions were interesting and I must say that you have done a lot of homework before making these questioners. Well done icopress! It is a great honor for me to be nominated in this contest, although I am active here only since October 2019. Thank you all who voted for me! Thank you OP for holding this contest! Let's hope that it will be made each year Congrats to all the winners and to all the other nominated members! As OP said, you (we) are the core of the forum! I also completed the quiz and here is my score: Besides, I think these two questions should be corrected: 1. The answers of the question below should be different 2. The correct answer to the question below should be "Never" Also, in the description of this question is stated that "in 2013, Alex announced that he intends to publish [...]". I think "Alex" should be replaced with "theymos" you just spoiled a question to others who didn't played it yet. you should've sent your advise via PM. and your both picture showing same question but the given options below are different? how is that? I don't think correct ansower would be never. coz theymos didn't said he'll never disclose the PMs of Satoshi. but he said he'll do them when they'll be more historic.
Congratulations everyone who won this most reputated award in bitcoin community. And i am truely greatful that my choosen person also won this Battle. Thats why i am very happy today. And i also support other users who spend their time on this forum and make this forum very informative and spaming free. And i also thank to those users who support new users and help them by answering their question and help to remove their confusion.
Heres my result though i am not here for long time
Well, I'm not an expert regarding with the history of the forum still there is a lot of information I don't know which this quiz gives me more knowledge about the history of the forum and I'm not scared to say that I'm still a newbie regarding with the different field into the world of cryptocurrency and the bitcointalk forum there is a lot of information I don't know, nah stop making drama lol this is my score Good job to OP.
So, to be frankly honest, I paid very little attention to this competition (other than the notifications I kept getting when my name was mentioned) since, like others, I figured it would simply be a popularity contest as opposed to based on actual contributions or merit in the various categories. This seems to be proven by the fact I don't even appear on the SpamBuster category, despite knowing for a fact I have thousands (sometimes >10 thousand) more good reports than some of the people who did, because I'm not very vocal with my reporting statistics.
Because of this, I was unsure how I felt about winning Bitcoin Geek. In my opinion it should have gone to one of the core devs who are active on the forum - gmaxwell or achow101 - or to satoshi himself, no questions asked. I expressed as much in the Discord chat, and webtricks pointed out that it the voting wasn't actually based on the most technical knowledge but rather the person who is most passionate about bitcoin and most helpful in answering questions. In that case, I'll humbly accept, although it still feels wrong to me to be beating people with far more technical knowledge in such a category. Here's the post you guys are looking for regarding Satoshi's PMs: I've rethought this, and I won't be releasing the PMs in 2021. ... I do think that there could be historically-relevant info in there, so maybe if Bitcoin has taken over the world in like 50 years and historians are clamoring to know more about its history, I or my successors could be convinced to revisit the issue. Or maybe not; don't get your hopes up. (I still haven't read the PMs, BTW; maybe they're all really boring.) legendary

GazetaBitcoin, Thank you for your comment [...] visibly fatigue affected my concentration. Yes, no worry, buddy. It is an overall impressive work you did here, with the contest, with the related topics, with the quiz... It's totally understandable. Regarding the second point, it seems to me that I am right, I found a quote from Theymos dated 2013, but I can not find a later post on this topic. [I am sure that such a post exists] Yes, I knew that comment theymos made in 2013, where he said that in 8 years he'll release Satoshi's IP. And I also remember a second post, where he said he changed his mind (can't find it either). But the problems at the second question are the following (look at the picture again): - "When did theymos promise he'll publish Satoshi's PMs and IP address?" / Answers: 2021, 2025, 2040+, Never - The description of the correct answer: "In 2013, Alex announced that he intends to publish Satoshi's PMs and IP addresses in ~8 years. But in 2018/19 he abandoned this idea, citing that these data would be of great historical interest only decades later". First of all, that "Alex" name should be changed with "theymos". His name is not Alex... And I don't know who can be this Alex The second problem is with the answer itself. Congratulations to all the winners and to icopress for organizing all of this.
All winners are deserving of their respective categories and also I think fillippone and theymos deserve a congratulations as they were 1 or 2 votes away from the winners of the categories Discovery of the Year and Absolute Hero of Good. Also it was quite a quiz you've done and I only scored 8/20 Confirmed: I suck as a Ninja. Don't know about others but you are one true Ninja for me. As per the award description, Bitcointalk Ninja is someone who is creative and contributed exceptionally for the development of Bitcointalk. With no disrespect to LoyceV and Loyce Club, for me your Ninjastic Space and Super Notifier are superior to others. So, you are the only Ninja literally and descriptively. No award for thermos, that's criminal!
Congratulations to the winners and of course the icopress will give you good quality T-shirts.
By the way, these questions were very interesting and informative, as I did not know before Theymos's userid is 35
Congrats to all the Winners also from me !
And a thank you for all the Voters who have cast their vote here. At the end we all are winners for contribute positive to the Forum , the one more and the others less . We keep the community alive , keep it up all . @icopress thanks
I came up as a second, very close to the winner.
Thank you to everyone who took their time to vote for me. Really Appreciated. Congratulations to @Ratimov for his victory in this nice category. Next year we won't be "discoveries" anymore, I guess...so better stating working hard for the main competition!.
Confirmed: I suck as a Ninja.
1. The answers of the question below should be different GazetaBitcoin, Thank you for your comment, if I honestly spent many hours on the design of the thread and looking for questions, and visibly fatigue affected my concentration. Regarding the second point, it seems to me that I am right, I found a quote from Theymos dated 2013, but I can not find a later post on this topic. [I am sure that such a post exists]2. The correct answer to the question below should be "Never" Also, in the description of this question is stated that "in 2013, Alex announced that he intends to publish [...]". I think "Alex" should be replaced with "theymos" I'll probably release Satoshi's PMs and logged IPs addresses in ~8 years. This'd probably be of great historical interest. (Though he always used Tor, as far as I can tell.)
Congratulations to all the winners and I it would be nice to see how T-shirts look in real life
I don't understand how this Bitcointalk Community Awards are connected with Quiz, and I am now tired to answer all 22 questions so I just skipped that part.
I got 13 out of 20 although missed couple of one for mistake from your side. You must organize the quiz again.
By the way, I really personally didn't like the question about Quickseller there because it seems like a bit personal although I would agree it's a part of forum history; regardless of that, I guess it would be pretty good if you removed the question about him and replace with something else.
