It's not an official app, it's not written by Theymos (or any other admin), however, the person that did write the app did an official announcement here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-android-327238

Personally, i wouldn't run this app on my device... Unless i got the sourcecode from the dev, browsed trough it and compiled it myself... But it seems other longtime members did try it out and didn't file a scam report afterwards... Still, i wouldn't trust it, but it's certainly not proved to be a scam.
I do not know whether it is a scam, but I am afraid to use it, I will not use this software on any of my devices, unless the forums recognize the software.
yea, we should be carefully when choose apps, whether it an Forum apps or some browers apps which not famous enough and trusted. because this time so many trick from naughty people to steal our personal informations, and use it for their personal interest.
I hope people which see my post will be know about this, mainly for newbie which just begining in this forum. and I would like to say thank you to all people which giving lesson for me even for all member here.

I would never use that app since it's not an official, you can still use chrome on your smartphone so far the forum is working fine on my browser, maybe it's not comfortable as in desktop but it's not bad, better safe than sorry.

I am now 4 months in bitcointalk forum but until now, I did not read any information about BTT in application.
Yet, we can't say that it is a scam. Maybe, you have point because theymos did not make any thread or topic about the BTT application.

Its not official yet since its written by third party and i would take caution for using it since your account might be at risk. This is a great idea for people who trying to just look around the forum or even advertise the forum, but i doubt many of people here using it actually since i think that people in this forum used to reply in front of their computer while watching crypto graph or news rather than sitting in coffee shop and replying message in forum through their phone  Grin Grin
Untill this time I haven't try this apps, even I haven't download it, when I see after that's I'm ask to this forum to make it clear, and I hope the best for this forum, minimum scam site/apps, so we can feel enjoy here and give the best for this community . thanks

I am about as positive as I can possibly be about something that our staff have not developed an official mobile app for the forum. Cannot say for certain whether or not it is an attempt at your account information, but if you're asking whether or not I would use such a thing or input my information on there then no. If you cannot find a sticky or announcement from a moderator or staff about it then I would pretty much assume that it is not "official". Development around here moves slowly and it isn't because of laziness as best I can tell. There are very real security concerns with every update and modification. A mobile app is going to be too resource intensive to develop, maintain, test and secure while they are hopefully working on finishing up the new forum software. It's possible in the far future, but I wouldn't expect anything soon unless I've missed something spectacular.

The developer seems to be a skilled developer that has worked with NiceHash in the past, so they seem competent enough to put something together. I just don't know if they're trusted enough to be throwing something like that together. They are rather inactive on the forum, do not have an impressive amount of trust ratings, but do not have a single negative rating from DT or otherwise.

When I'm looking for some info about this forum (Not at this forum, But at google)
I See an mobile apps (apk) for this forum, that at google play store.
My question is, this is real from forum developers? or this is just fishing site to steal our account?
But I think this is not real apps for this forum, because I don't see the announcement about this apps, and this apps no have rating! that's right?
I don't wanna the community fooled by this apps. thank you

Link of the apps : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.elbandi.forum.bitcointalk&hl=in&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dmemperbesar+tampilan+bitcointalk+forum&pcampaignid=APPU_1_soGfWtKdF4LNvgTTo6-QDQ

sorry I can't attach the screenshoot, because my phone crashed and closed automatically when open imgur.
If this is true, it should be announced in this forum not just release it in the play store or create an apk version of it. Until there no announcement, do not use it. What's the difference between the mobile version of BTT than here in the official website? You can still use regular browser.

and for the apps depelovers/owner I'm sorry, I'm not meaning make bad post about your apps. but without rating make it seem like not look good and trusted. But I hope this apps will be better in future, because I feel hard when using browser at my phone (font is too small)
