I'm like 99.99% sure , they was hosting the forums in exchange of putting their ad in the bottom of the page. As for the results shown above I don't think It's the real IP. This also confirm what I said : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hosting-provided-by-private-internet-access-a-bitcoin-accepting-vpn-159736 &  https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1aefdk/why_does_privateinternetaccess_host_bitcointalk/
Are you sure about that? Take a look at this quote:

quick correction just for FUD insurance, the forum is ran by theymos, theymos is the only one that has access to the forum's server box. Private Internet Access just donated the box so the forum can be hosted for in exchange for that permanent ad on the bottom.
This is quite different from being hosted by PIA.

As far as I know Private Internet Access ( https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ ) was hosting the forums.
Are you sure about that? They were only sponsoring/advertising on Bitcointalk IIRC (I'm not entirely sure though).

Not sure if this information is correct but this website says amazon.com.
Yes, the information is valid. There are plenty of websites that offer whois tools (some with history, but that's usually a premium feature). You could, optionally, run something like 'tracert bitcointalk.org' via command prompt and you will notice the AWS IPs.

I'm just curious, why do you need to know where they are being hosted? It is irrelevant to you using it as a service. Judging from all the DDOS attacks that btctalk has been receiving lately I doubt they really want to shout that information out to everyone. You can use the DNS lookup service at centralops.net to get the information if you really want it.

My best guess would be hostmaster though, you would need theymos or any other staff to confirm this.

As far as I know Private Internet Access ( https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ ) was hosting the forums . I'm not sure when this happened but I was just checking the footer and I couldn't find the the message that we used to see about PIA VPN. So I assume they are not hosting the forums anymore ? If that's the case then from where we are getting the hosting ?
