This is why blockchain.info (aka bc.info) is not the number 1 :

It doesn't matter the rank on alexa.com  Wink.
Exactly, although it's #1 on Alexa.com it's definitely not the best block explorer. Your example is just one of the many issues they've had with their site in the past year. You could talk about a whole bunch more as well - reusing r values, transactions not showing up, fake transactions showing up, etc.

Nope. By alexa rank, a faucet http://freebitco.in, have a traffic rank of 4,754th in the world, and higher than BCT.org. (link: www.alexa.com/siteinfo/freebitco.in)
However, by the rank of where bitcoiners can talk and exchange their opinions, then BCT is still the 1st in the crypto world.
Edit: just found another crypto site, blockchain.info, have a rank of 3651, which is even higher than the faucet.

The number 1 wallet/blockexplorer = blockchain
The number 1 faucet = freebitco.in

for beginner he just create wallet and earning from faucet he not know abut bitcointalk

blockchain.info ? It is not the number 1, because it is the most 'unreliable' bitcoin site.

It's number 1 in Alexa ranks. Check yourself in this link: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/blockchain.info

I wouldn't say Blockchain is unreliable, I personally like the site a lot.

somebody is 2015 handling values from Alexa as reliable source? you can't be serious.

please educate yourself little bit before even thinking about it. data are literally zero relevance or you know anybody using Alexa plugin in web browser? yes, they have niec site, design, graphs and all the stuff, but again, data outcome is simply irrelevant. for relevant data please use google sources.

not trying to defend ANY site, but I will say this... when you have one source that has a majority of the power of information distribution, you end up with the crypto scene we currently are living in. The lack of any sort of moral fibre is reflected in the repeated scam/shit coins generated by this subforum. It's like most things in life.. the more concentrated things become, the worse things are for the end users. Doesn't matter if you are talking about telcomms or webforums... the concept proves true time after time. My own opinion would be the greatest thing that could happen to bitcoin and alt's would be for this webforum to sink into the earth and disappear.

I agree with you, we don't need a battle between the various site... because it is against the 'decentralization' concept that it is on the base of any real cryptocurrency coin.

This is a great site for discussion, but there is so much misinformation and fud going around that it is not the only source of bitcoin information that I use.  But it is a forum, not a news site, so I think we all understand what that means.

There isn´t a same point of comparisson, BCT let this "Talk" beetwen thousands of crypto users, Here has been left many of the best projects of crypto, I can´t imagine success of Bitcoin without support of BCT. BCT let to discuss, To ask, To receive support,To present ideas  and so on without the limitations of any language. The better thing is that let that interaction between newbies and more experimented members on forum on a cycle of teaching and learning of several topics not only of technology. BCT is also funny. For this and anothers things  Bitcointalk is the King of Crypto.

Crypto section of btctalk is like jungle filled with wild monkeys fighting over banana.  Cheesy

If you want real truth don't just solely rely on btctalk because it's bias. bagholders would claim their coin is the best and it'll replace btc while fudders would claim it's scam.

I think most projects ignore bitcointalk because there's a lot of scum present and they just don't wanna deal with that.
Most crypto media seems biased to me anyway though. Coindesk should be called Bitcoindesk - pure bagholder talk most of the time imho.

Although Bitcointalk has the the most users, but we can not ignore the other websites, which supplement it and provide important infomation to the public. Bitcointalk's contents are from the random users, the contents are not always trustworthly, may be spamming all around! But like the coindesk, or cointelegraph, their contents are more readable and reliable! Some ppl may like access different websites to gain infomation.

Fact of the matter is Bitcointalk reigns supreme in the Crypto World.   Yet many alternates make a policy of ignoring this website, preferring to hide on their own corners of the internet (Ethereum, Bitshares and others).

Fact of the matter is Bitcointalk has the most traffic in the Crypto world.  If you want your coin to be known among this small niche, then it must be publicized on here.  Most of the cryptonews sites are big laughing jokes as no one is really reading them.  Cointelegraph recently displayed their read count and most of their articles only get reads in the 100s.  Coindesk isn't doing much better.
