I managed to miss - until now - this announcement and the existence of that page. It's a very nice page, great job!
I've looked into it briefly (will check it out again in the following days) and I think that one classic quote is missing:

If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Interesting website .

I would add the date (or at least the year) with the quote.

I thought I would see some statistics like merits,  year of posts and maybe board inside the statistics page. This could be improved

And a dark mode would certainly be nice to see
It would be really great if there was a dark mode.
When I opened the site, I was met with a white light explosion, but I really liked the quote I saw.
The quote I read was about pizza.  Cheesy

Well thought out on beautiful work. Smiley

Update

- You can view all quotes of a user from statistics page, as requested.

I chose to add these two posts into the database, as I find them particularly profound in days like these.

Since this is an open source project, would it be acceptable for individuals to take initiative amongst themselves to develop a kind of committee to put forth effort into deciding upon how to officially represent Bitcoins with a particular symbol or should we instead rely on Satoshi Nakamoto as authority over determining this type of establishment within Bitcoin?

One thing I've seen over and over with open source projects is their tendency to fork, often to the detriment of everyone involved. Saying that there will never be a major disagreement over the system seems naive.

I guess my real question is, how do we all decide what is the correct bitcoin program? Is it and will it always be whatever Satoshi posts on bitcoin.org? How is that different than just trusting the Federal Reserve? (In Satoshi We Trust)

We are all Satoshi.

Hey @BlackHatCoiner at first I want to appreciate you for the time spent working on this set-up post. I clicked on it and it looks cool, but I would also want to suggest that instead of someone to keep refreshing the page before seeing the next post why not hyperlinked the users listed on the statistics.

For example; theymos has about 10 post when you click on the message all theymos post should be able to display, so should it be applicable to those with 1 message as well since there is no next option or select menus. However, it would look more finner if you include menu to enable people selected on their favorite post after having mistakenly refresh it.

Just imagine we have about 100-1,000 post how would someone be able to come back to post number 1 or post number 10. With menu it will be very helpful and easy to surf.

Thank you for the efforts.

even though I checked it hadn't reached mempool.space's node, at the time I sent it
It won't reach mempool.space, because they enforce 1 sat/vB limit. It will appear there only after getting a single confirmation.

Quote
My node's configuration is default, probably rejecting anything lower than 1 sat/vb.
Not only that. If you use default configuration, then you may also not support full-RBF.

The only reasonable explanation is that some of you broadcasted it for me.
Yes, testnet CPU-miners are reading this forum. However, if you want to send more such transactions, it is better to change your bitcoin.conf, for example similarly to how ercewubam wrote above.

Great idea! Probably highlighting the main quote on the link, putting it in the center, then having some kind of list of quotes that you have a store option where you could select or pick one, just having the option of being able to send other quotes to one another.

I'll update it as I find more interesting posts. You can open the link to check if I've selected posts of yours, but you'll have to refresh and read new quotes manually to find them!
Is there a way to update this and add it to a PC homescreen for example? This way the random quotes change every 10 or so seconds.

Is there also a way to see the full list of quotes and choose the one you want to read at a time?

I like that idea, having some kind of random quotes for every 5minutes or something like that  Smiley would love to have that as well, just reading some random quotes would be great!

Other nodes won't accept it, if your own node will reject it. You have to configure your node first, to accept those transactions locally.
I just opened Bitcoin Core after the last time I posted. Transaction is confirmed, even though I checked it hadn't reached mempool.space's node, at the time I sent it. Isn't that strange? My node's configuration is default, probably rejecting anything lower than 1 sat/vb. I have no configuration file, and start Core with ./bitcoin-qt --testnet4. The only reasonable explanation is that some of you broadcasted it for me.

These are some golden words, but they are casually presented, could you add some CSS to the page to beautify it, increase the font size a bit and use a better font for its presentation, also add a few quotes to the view at once so we can read more than one in a page and introduce pagination to see more of it when desired. Also could you introduce a select button with names of those who have the quotes so we can select which person's quotes to read at a time.

If you strictly want it to be one read a time
Better still, you can fetch the quotes and save it on an array as soon as the page loads, then manage the Random display from the array, so the page does not need to refresh before the user gets another random quote, it can improve the experience and desire of the reader to consume more of your contents.

You could avoid repetition of the same quote by removing it from the array, then randomly display others until the array is empty, also use  an indicator to tell the user how many quotes they have read, and how many more to go. kind of keeps the user engaged.

Nice work though Wink

What about GitHub pipelines? For example, I am trying to build my changes there: https://github.com/garlonicon/bitcoin/actions/runs/10558037449

I guess, if it will be successful, then you could simply download binaries from there. Because if things are built on GitHub, then you can see, that I didn't touch them at all, and you can read all code changes in a pull request to see, if they are correct or not.

Also note, that because I changed those things globally, I don't recommend using those binaries to run a mainnet node (because then, it may try to produce blocks with 20 minute delay, for no reason).

Yep. I could spin up a spare laptop, install a standard Ubuntu version, and try again, but it's easier to just wait for testnet3 to be shredded and replaced by the new version by default Smiley Maybe when I have more time Smiley

Lol. It's kinda cool, having some testnet4 coins could come in handy some day. Is that the address in my profile?
Yep, it's the bech32 one, sitting on your profile page.

I was hoping getting testnet4 working would be easier by now, but I'm still stuck on boost errors. I guess I'll just wait until testnet4 is enabled by default. For now, I've labeled the address as "testnet4" Smiley
I was facing some problems too when I tried to do this manually, but all it needed was just to fetch the clone properly. Did you fetch it as written in here?

Isn't spending them as easy as importing the private key in Bitcoin Core (on testnet4 of course)?
It is, but:
1. Some parties, like exchanges, often don't process them correctly, and don't associate those coins with your account.
2. You have to wait for coinbase maturity (100 blocks).

Bitcoin Core is such a cool software.
It indeed is. Also note, that testnet4 is still in its infancy. So, you can get your transaction confirmed even for free, as long as there is enough space in blocks. You can check your peers, maybe some of them accept free transactions?
Code:
$ ./bitcoin-cli -testnet4 getpeerinfo | grep minfeefilter
"minfeefilter": 0.00000000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00000000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
"minfeefilter": 0.00001000,
So, if you spot a node with "minfeefilter" set to zero (or anything lower than 0.00001000), then you can try to send a cheaper (or free) transaction, and there is a chance, that you are connected to some CPU miner, who will confirm it for free.

For example, for testnet4, I have these settings:
Code:
mintxfee=0.00000001
minrelaytxfee=0.00000000
blockmintxfee=0.00000000
dustrelayfee=0.00000000
mempoolexpiry=35000
acceptnonstdtxn=1
maxtxfee=1000000.00000000
mempoolfullrbf=1

Which program did you use to convert the mainnet Segwit to testnet4 Segwit?
Bitcoin Core. By the way: you don't need to "convert" anything, you can instead create a transaction, sending coins to the mainnet address, and then sign that transaction under testnet. Also, if you want to move those coins, then again: you can create a transaction under testnet, and sign it from your mainnet node. In this way, no conversions are needed.

Another benefit of doing that, is testing offline signing, which is a good habit in general.

Edit: Let's make it a double:
Code:
createrawtransaction '[{"txid":"1e5c0c5c2e71f2adb7804d4a1f9e2d4d22e500bde8330573e11774be9871e05d","vout":0}]' '[{"bc1qmx0qn8rak9zpftl27ryr5en6ffsvhex37kuta0":50.00000000}]' 0 true
02000000015de07198be7417e1730533e8bd00e5224d2d9e1f4a4d80b7adf2712e5c0c5c1e0000000000fdffffff0100f2052a01000000160014d99e099c7db14414afeaf0c83a667a4a60cbe4d100000000
And then, if you did that from your mainnet node, and you have well-formed transaction, then you can sign it under testnet:
Code:
signrawtransactionwithwallet "02000000015de07198be7417e1730533e8bd00e5224d2d9e1f4a4d80b7adf2712e5c0c5c1e0000000000fdffffff0100f2052a01000000160014d99e099c7db14414afeaf0c83a667a4a60cbe4d100000000" '[{"txid":"1e5c0c5c2e71f2adb7804d4a1f9e2d4d22e500bde8330573e11774be9871e05d","vout":0,"scriptPubKey":"0014bf333b43b2416a9cde98666f169e0e7c111f509d","amount":50.00001559}]'
{
  "hex": "020000000001015de07198be7417e1730533e8bd00e5224d2d9e1f4a4d80b7adf2712e5c0c5c1e0000000000fdffffff0100f2052a01000000160014d99e099c7db14414afeaf0c83a667a4a60cbe4d1024730440220514d1e998eb8c9681918dce33649eef5da838c8f70631c75b92175ebbd3c7afc022045a9ff34384c9dcc1584975d7476c0634105e5533103c08cb2f09e54ba9b1c33012103acfb93083094546a7f7dccf231f506bed26711e06e7806427ec68dd3a12940e300000000",
  "complete": true
}
Then, all that is left, is to just send this transaction, using any tool: your own node, some block explorer, whatever:
Code:
$ ./bitcoin-cli -testnet4 sendrawtransaction 020000000001015de07198be7417e1730533e8bd00e5224d2d9e1f4a4d80b7adf2712e5c0c5c1e0000000000fdffffff0100f2052a01000000160014d99e099c7db14414afeaf0c83a667a4a60cbe4d1024730440220514d1e998eb8c9681918dce33649eef5da838c8f70631c75b92175ebbd3c7afc022045a9ff34384c9dcc1584975d7476c0634105e5533103c08cb2f09e54ba9b1c33012103acfb93083094546a7f7dccf231f506bed26711e06e7806427ec68dd3a12940e300000000

Ha-ha, thanks for the tBTC!  Wink

Which program did you use to convert the mainnet Segwit to testnet4 Segwit? It should be fairly easy, but I'm not aware of any, so it must have been done manually. First time another person constructs my own address.  Tongue

Oh man, to have been aware of, and involved in, bitcoin way back then.  If only I had a private time machine...

The site works on Tor now. Nice Smiley

I generated 5 blocks today on my Pentium processor.
Oh man, to have been aware of, and involved in, bitcoin way back then.
I feel your pain of "what if". But I also know I would probably have ended up like this:
I actually measured the energy usage with a Kill-A-Watt with and without mining a few months after that post, and I was getting 160 BTC/kWh. Because the cost of mining 1 BTC was less than a tenth of what 1 BTC was actually priced at at the time, I thought that BTC was substantially overpriced, and so I also have the honor of selling BTC at the lowest prices ever recorded, $0.003/BTC. I need to find a way for users to humbly select their own posts. It'll speed up the process.

All a matter of incentives.  Tongue

Hmm.  I'm not sure every member would suggest their own posts humbly at all.  In fact, it could quickly turn into a spam fest on your end if you've got to approve them all--and if you aren't approving them, we'll probably end up seeing a bunch of meaningless, low-value quotes by members with egos far bigger than their forum contributions.

Know what I mean?  Aside from that I still like the site very much!

We are surrounded by legends on this forum. Phenomenal successes and catastrophic failures. Then there are the scams. This forum is a digital museum.

Now that's a good one, especially the last sentence.  Hopefully most members know that Satoshi used to be active here, and man if you spend an hour or two browsing through ancient threads, e.g., from the 2010 era, you'll see how a lot of things evolved (like signature campaigns).  There's a tremendous archive of great stuff here.

And, if funny quotes are also accepted, I'd make some research inside the foxhole, as there is an incredible material there Smiley

Most of that incredible material was fueled by one foolhardy substance or another, and I probably should participate in that thread more than I do.  Nevertheless, I absolutely agree with you on that recommendation.

Someone said something about turning it into a screen saver that changes ever 10 seconds and I am also a fan of that idea.

Oh, now that's a pretty neat idea!  Except I haven't used screen savers since I was a teenager I think.

Thanks, I just added everything except theymos' post regarding the 1 MB block size limit, as I find it inaccurate and confusing. The block size limit is 4 MB after Segwit.
Thanks for adding those quotes to your site, I'll try to find some good quotes for the site soon.

This reminds me of the discussion about storing bitcointalk data in a decentralized file system. The autorefresh feature a good one which you don't have to refresh to see different quotes but sometimes when it refreshes to display new quotes, it shows the same quote not that it bothers me. I am sure that the famous pizza day and hodl will be added there and many more will be added soon since there are a lot of good post in this forum. It would be great if there's a home button.

Oooops Smiley I did not know that... thank you LV... In any case, I like more how xtraelvs extended those words... his phrasing is more touching for the heart <3

And I come back with one more proposal... Not sure if this can be added, but it is, perhaps, the only funny line I ever saw from theymos... Smiley

Eitherway man the proxy thing is annoying...  Undecided

Note: I edited the image link because in the original post it was broken.

I will only add that you work more to improve it by adding prev, Next, as @odohu suggested and also including a search 🔍 option to locate the particular author of a particular quote.
He published it temporarily to get everyone's opinion. You suggested it would be a lot of work that still needs to be done. When it completes its job, it will see no errors.
BlackHatCoiner, Everyone is looking at what can be done with everyone's advice. Everything will finally be there when you're done fully customizing. Could you wait until it complete. I hope to see something nice.

It's $25 per year (domain name + web hosting), but donations are accepted! I will continue operating it, yes. I think it can become quite a neat project.
If this trend can continue then it will definitely reach a good place. just keep up your work.

Update

- You can find users' statistics at stats.php, in real time.
- Donation page has been added: https://bitcointalk.rocks/donations.php. Donating 50 BTC still makes you a VIP in here!
- Year of the post, next to the person's username is being added automatically.
- New quotes added. Total quotes: 105.

This is a good one. Added it!

If you find any text in there which is funny without context (i.e., without knowing what's a foxhole), then don't hesitate to post it.  Wink

Although I understand that it has been very difficult to do this, but you will have one more request to customize the site and publish it more beautifully.
This minimalist style, or lack thereof, is a deliberate choice. Nowadays, every webpage on the Internet is filled with JavaScript and CSS. I don't think this modernity reflects the essence of Bitcointalk.

Here's another list of some good quotes for your site.
Thanks, I just added everything except theymos' post regarding the 1 MB block size limit, as I find it inaccurate and confusing. The block size limit is 4 MB after Segwit.

so are you going to maintain this website and pay for the domain name renewals? it seems like it might cost about $15 per year.
It's $25 per year (domain name + web hosting), but donations are accepted! I will continue operating it, yes. I think it can become quite a neat project.

Some old posts from young theymos are nice to put things into perspective, like:
5) Generating is still profitable, even on my ancient computers. Bitcoin uses $0.25 per day in electricity, but I will make on average $0.60 in Bitcoins per day (and I actually value Bitcoins more than the market price). Even if it wasn't profitable, I need a running bitcoind, and I might as well have it helping the network.
Wow. Imagine being able to mine that cheap. Quote added.

Let's say I wanted to see all quotes from your website with a specific keyword or multiple words, would you be able to make that happen? I enter "third party", or "fork", etc., and all quotes that include that/those word(s) would pop up on screen.
Noted. To-do: Make a small search engine.

I must confess I admire and commend your work @BlackHatCoiner for bringing up this great idea or initiative to the BTT forum community, as this  shows that you have good plans for the forum. I believe after much work on this Bitcointalk quote, it will be used as a search engine to discover people's important quotes to use them as a reference to an ongoing discussion instead of searching out of the forum which leads to most plagiarism.
You don't need quotes from the past to participate in a discussion in the present. Very few people communicate that way. But seeing your post made me think of a search feature that BlackHatCoiner could perhaps introduce.

@BlackHatCoiner

Bitcointalk rocks. Therefore, I present...

Funny, educative, historical and poetic quotes from the Bitcointalk family. Currently, I have saved 91 quotes, from 42 users. I'll update it as I find more interesting posts. You can open the link to check if I've selected posts of yours, but you'll have to refresh and read new quotes manually to find them!

If you've found a good post, submit it in here or via PM, and I'll probably add it to my database.

Here's another list of some good quotes for your site.

Honestly, I can't imagine that someone will remain untagged if he starts a topic in Meta offering crypto for Merits.

Your earned Merit (for you 543 Merit) will never decrease because it isn't affected when you are meriting another user's post. Sending Merit does only mean that you'll need 1 sMerit (sendable Merit) to do so, the amount of your sMerit is displayed directly after you click +Merit for a post you want to give Merit to.

There's a small transaction fee for very large transactions.  The node that generates the block that contains the transaction gets the fee.

I generated 5 blocks today on my Pentium processor.

The number of coins created per block is halved every 4 years, not the number of blocks created. 50 coins are created per block now. When we reach about 200,000 blocks, each block will be worth 25 coins. After another 200,000 blocks (4 years), each block will be worth 12.5 coins.

In the future you could pay an additional voluntary fee for your transactions to get priority, but this isn't implemented now (in either generating or sending, I think).

It isn't necessary to have a "Bitcoin team". People will independently use/promote/protect the currencies that they find the most value in.

Bitcoin won't allow blocks over 1MB, so assuming a (rather small) average transaction size of 216 bytes, Bitcoin can only handle 4,629 transactions per 10 minutes.

I don't like it when people say this. The expected value of 1 Bitcoin in the future (by full adoption) is $10,000/BTC. By this same logic you can say you wish you heard about Bitcoin 3 years ago, 3 years from now.

Nice job, BlackHatCoiner!  I haven't clicked through all of the quotes, but I absolutely like this.  I don't know how much work you put into this, but it was an imaginative site to put together and I hope you keep it going and add many more quotes.  There have been some really good zingers over the years, though I'd have no idea how to find them again.  There was a member whose name escapes me who was in the Chipmixer campaign, and he was famous for dropping witty and insightful one-liners.  His name is on the tip of my tongue....and I hate that feeling.

Props to you, my man.

Oh yeah I know who you're talking about it was more of a bizarre humor right? I forget the name as well but I think I know who you are talking about m8. I would have to agree with you I think this little site he has built here is pretty nifty! Well done well done, I also hope that this keeps on growing. If only people would stop competing to pay the maximum fee, fees wouldn't be so high!
While I agree with the points made in that post, I dislike the quote when presented without additional context. High fees due to competition are a natural result of the fixed supply of block space and fluctuating demand.

Every lost Bitcoin reduces the number of Bitcoins in circulation. The scarcer it gets, the higher the value per Bitcoin. So in a way every Bitcoin owner benefits from this.

Here are some more useful quotes for your site. It took me sometime to find those quotes but I believe they are useful ones and could be helpful for the site.

Bitcoin technology is so appealing and addicting I can't possibly imagine "loosing faith". In fact, it's not about "faith", it's about understanding the underlying technology and intrinsic advantages.

Bitcoin is the ninja currency.

If you want to invest $10 in bitcoin, you can purchase a fraction of a bitcoin. If you want to invest $10 in gold, you would need to find someone with dust to sell such a minute quantity. That's much harder to do than buying bitcoin.

ONCE BTC takes on some of this value, its market cap will increase from currently 7 billion to.... whatever amount... IN order to reach $5000 per BTC, the BTC market cap only need to rise to about 90Billion... which is NOT a very high target if it takes on some of these values.

We can all  agree that so far best advice was to buy and invest in Bitcoin,
especially in its early stages from 2007 onwards...

Dear God that is a recipe for losing money--be very careful investing in shitcoins.  They are so volatile that you're going to need a barf bag for the price swings.

Stop using that word 'pump', please.  These are market fluctuations,  and what we're seeing isn't the result of a concerted effort by Chinese gamblers, buyers, sellers, or anyone else.  The market just ends up doing what it always does,  which is moving up and down.

Every lost Bitcoin reduces the number of Bitcoins in circulation. The scarcer it gets, the higher the value per Bitcoin. So in a way every Bitcoin owner benefits from this.

If only people would stop competing to pay the maximum fee, fees wouldn't be so high!

I enjoyed reloading through interesting quotes you have added to your database, moreso, I love the part you included the names of the authors and a hyperlink which can take readers to the original post where the quote was generated. As it was fun going through the random quotes, it was intriguing to find quotes from the founder, Satoshi and it served as a moment of nostalgia for members who've been  here in the early years and a historical data bank for us.

As other people complained about not being able to view the very simple web page, it motivated me to take some times out of my day to design graphics for the qoutes and will be glad if you can feature my graphics designs on the page for the benefit of those who love art and are willing to save the graphics to their galleries or share to the public.

I am likewise a lover of art and it was such feeling and excitement that encouraged me to design 10 graphics  designs for 12 out of the many quotes on the web page. I will be more than willing to design a similar or unique graphics work for each of the quotes as they load in.

Each graphics design consists of the following contents:
- Quote
- Author's name
- Date

Satoshi quotes were designed in black and white out of respect and honour while other designs where represented in color.

Check the graphics works below and let me know what you feel. Big Thanks!  Smiley

Is there a way to do the next and back manually instead of just refreshing it? Some post needs time to read and digest while there’s no way to read it back after you refresh it. I’m processing some thoughts while browsing randomly.

Also some quote will be more encouraging like quote related to price if the date post was made is indicated.

Click on the "random quotes" not the "auto refresh" button.

Is there a way to set it to "auto skip" for a specific X time, and it changes every X time?
I just added an "Autorefresh" link. Check it out. It updates every 10 seconds.

Nice quotes. One appears at a time, unless you manually refresh to get another. How about you add a reload button just below the quote, at the center to avoid using the browser reload repeatedly.
Done. Just click on "Random Quote".

Nice one! I was just going through the quotes and felt tired at some point, and there are only around 40 of them, and there may be more in the future. Is there a way to set it to "auto skip" for a specific X time, and it changes every X time? Could be an option on the website or set from the backend - this way, I could just open a tag on one of my desktops and read while doing other things. This way it saves me all the time skipping through 100s of quotes and saves me more reading time instead.

Brilliant idea BlackHatCoiner

I will soon update the post with a good quote I saw somewhere

Quote
"KYC is the only weapon that the current financial system has, in order to control Bitcoin. There is absolutely no other way to control it.”

− apogio
Having gone through some series of quotes, I really find this a lot helpful and a reminder, especially during this period where the government are beginning to get involved into Bitcoin and how much they would love to seize every opportunity to put stuffs under their control. Bitcoin was created a fight against control from government and here we have known the only means as to which they would like to over thrown it's decentralization which is by Initiating KYC. Knowing this will encourage what we can or have to do in other to avoid victimizing Bitcoin into centralization.

Thanks my good friend for quoting me

I have read some of the quote on your site - but it is true that the site need some improvement as some users before me suggested so that viewer can easily find which quote they want to read. I read each one by clicking on random quote - while I would be redirected to bitcointalk.org when clicking on the author's name.

But I like your work and appreciate it.

I can imagine something like this might look good:

Random Quote - Just Title

Author: theymos - Author and link to post.

Quote
“Satoshi's lesson is that you *don't* need to be the next Einstein in order to change the world. Nor do you need to have much money, or influence with the world's "movers & shakers". You just need to put in the effort. Satoshi, probably just an ordinary hobbyist like anyone here, saw that something was lacking in the Universe, and he fought tooth-and-nail for 2+ years until this imperfection was corrected. *This* is what makes Satoshi and his work my greatest inspiration.”

“Bitcoin's blockchain is larger due to the fact that Bitcoin's market cap is much larger than Monero's. As a result, Bitcoin's blockchain size is much larger than Monero's.”

Alternatively, you can use this list to know if someone like Laszlo, with one notable mention in the Bitcoin world is included. If he's there, you're sure it's for the pizza purchase, unlike satoshi for example, with so many memorable quotes, making it impossible to know which is included.

Anyone having issues reaching the sites today? It happened to me 2 times today and each time it took me like 4-5 minutes trying to actually reach the site.
Works fine from my end.

It is there, I saw it the first time I scrolled through the site. The link used was the message where Laszlo confirmed to have bought pizzas for 10,000BTC
So it was just the case of bad rng/me not clicking enough. And yeah, it would be kinda weird not to include something as knopwn and important as bitcpin pizza thing. Anyway, thanks for clearing that out!

I don't know if its already there and I just missed it due bad rng, but in case it isn't included, imho laszlo's "pizza for bitcoin" post/offer deserves to be there.  Wink

By the way, great idea @BlackHatCoiner!

Some of these quotes should be the landing page of Bitcointalk. They are very educational.

Great job, Blackhatcoiner!

Here are some quotes that you might add to your site.

The user gets 50 coins when he has created 1 block. The coins can be used (they "mature") when 120 blocks have been generated by the whole network after he created the block.

If the network grows very large and that makes it difficult to get your transaction into a block for free, you can make it happen faster by paying a small transaction fee to the node that puts your transaction into the block chain. Bitcoin supports this functionality.

Will this eventually become the world's first million-dollar pizza?

I sold 15,000 BTC on Bitcoin Market for ~0.003 USD: the all-time low on any market, AFAIK. I had measured my power consumption and determined that it only cost me ~0.001 BTC to make one BTC, so I thought 0.003 was a good profit margin. I knew the price would rise over time due to the deflationary nature of Bitcoin, but I didn't think it would happen so suddenly.

Please remember that there will only ever be 21,000,000 bitcoins created !

I want to suggest that in addition to the numbering someone suggested, you add "Next" and "Previous" tabs for easy navigation because I noticed I couldn't go back to previous quotes.
yes, it can only return when you load all the quotes until the last and continue until the quote repeats. That's already 91 quotes, and if you added a few dozen more quotes, it would probably repeat the quotes you've already read.
The suggestion of adding numbering and next and previous tabs will help visitors to see newly added quotes without reviewing those they have already read.
This is a start, hopefully, OP will continue to develop it.

"KYC is the only weapon that the current financial system has, in order to control Bitcoin. There is absolutely no other way to control it.”

Great work @BlackHatCoiner. I must admit that you put in a lot of work gathering these quotes and developing the website.

I want to suggest that in addition to the numbering someone suggested, you add "Next" and "Previous" tabs for easy navigation because I noticed I couldn't go back to previous quotes.

Meanwhile below quote got me thinking that Satoshi actually saw the future following the ordeal of Julian Assange and the crackdown on privacy

I've tested the site and its quotes and I can say that you came up with a very useful idea and executed it as a site.

It's the minimalistic website I have ever visited but it's one of the most useful ones. I'll try to find some good posts which may be me quoted on your site.

I'll try my best to find some useful posts that can be helpful as quotes on your site.

Nice work with quotes!
I suggest adding option for people to randomly select quotes from specific members, and quotes for specific subjects.
Hal Finney wrote many other interesting posts you can quite, there is currently only two added.

For example, we can have quotes only about Satoshi and his identity.
One example by Hal:

Lois Lane:

How do you find someone who has spent a lifetime covering his tracks?

For some, he was a guardian angel. For others, a ghost, who never quite fit in.

What's the S stand for?

you did an amazing job. but I don't know whether I have read all the quotes or not. there is no numbering and it will continue to contain repeated quotes.
maybe it was your idea and you have already done it. Maybe in the future, there will be improvements that will make it even better.
Don't forget to update this thread when you update the quote list.

It's a nice initiative you have come up with @BlackHatCoiner. I was just wondering if good posts from local board that fit in the category can be posted too, probably with an attached translation to it.

It should add some color that way, since the thread idea is about funny, educative, historical and poetic quotes  as you clearly said above.

Nice quotes. One appears at a time, unless you manually refresh to get another. How about you add a reload button just below the quote, at the center to avoid using the browser reload repeatedly.
Done. Just click on "Random Quote".
Nice you fix that so fast. The choice of positioning of the Random Quotes. It's still fine, but in the UI design rule, when you read from top to bottom, the next text/button of command should be at the bottom and not moving up again to click reload.

Nice Job @BlackHaatCoiner, I have a suggestion...
Why not a random quote at the top and list of all quotes following the random quote ---beneath to view all quote [maybe a little bit of pagination if needed] at least visistors can view all the whole quotes without having to refresh  or does it have a timeout to refresh random quotes.

Is there a way to update this and add it to a PC homescreen for example? This way the random quotes change every 10 or so seconds.
Brilliant idea! I'll be working on this.  Wink

Is there also a way to see the full list of quotes and choose the one you want to read at a time?
Well, I could just give all the quotes to you, but this way it wouldn't be so surprising, would it?  Sad (I'll probably create a hidden page for that reason, though, as I predict demand for the whole list)
