yeah I got very slow response and slow load time today, mostly 502 error
but I encountered 525 SSL handshake error too, is this some sort of man-in-the-middle attack?
or someone tried to takeover bitcointalk dns just like what happened to primedice?

Yeah me too. we should change the man-in-the-middle into alia-in-the-middle-naked.
Is there any problem on that side of the administration? you know, the same Bcash defector etc.

Note, etc in bold is a really long story, but I didn't want to overstep my boundaries.
Sorry the mother of my tongue is not English.

EDIT: now I can open any page with super speed.

Bumping this since i'm getting a lot of time out errors today.
I am also receiving different error messages from cloudflare recently.
Here is one of them :

Is the forum under attack or some problem with site's certificates ?

Well that explains some stuff.
I was wondering if my internet was slow. Smiley
I myself did not experience that one but i did experience slower than yours not because of my connection. Someone may have plan this a lonh time before attacking bitcoin talk. As of now it's doing fine i can easily scroll and read post and replies to any topic that I haven't know or lack of information.

Bumping this since i'm getting a lot of time out errors today.

Even http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/bitcointalk.org.html is stating that it went down multiple times today.

Browsing bitcointalk right now is giving me headaches. Anything that can be done about this?

Yeah, the problem seems over. Everything is working fast as never before and I didn't see pages "checking your browser..." like whole week already!

Sometimes I am having the same problem... Sometimes it doesn't work at all! Maybe the owner should think about new hosting provider or cloud hosting?

At this moment Bitcointalk works for me like a charm. Smiley

its feel a little bit slow today compared to yesterday and there is problem with this page probably some files removed from server or maybe just because of the connection being too slow it timeout while downloading the image

The files definitely have not been removed. https://bitcointalk.org/Themes/custom1/images/star.gif If you just click on the link then the image loads. The problem is with images either being slow to load or failing to load within a post.

I think they are updating the bitcointalk so thats why sometimes it takes too slow to access the forum.I think there are no attacks happen in forum so be patiently waiting because its continuing and they want the forum faster more so its happens.

Just want to tell you guys that it is already good for now, at least for me. Now opening a topic and posting a reply or editing goes fast and smooth. I guess there is nothing big happened in this 2 days, maybe just a small changing/patching of the server by the admin and team, but still, having an announcement of something happened in this forum is nice, especially if admin and team knows what is happened.

Yes, seems to be working fine now.

Well, I stopped by Meta to see if there was a post such as this and here it is. It is the same thing for me and I think it has been happening for the past several days, but the lag is especially bad today.

I actually ran some speed-tests and restarted my computer the lag was so bad that I thought it must have been on my end, but everything else runs fine except the Bitcointalk forum. I know there is only so much you can do against a DDoS, if that is what it is, but any improvement would be a help at this point.

EDIT: Took about 20 seconds from when I hit the save button on this post originally to when it finished, definitely the lag is getting worse.

Same here. I experience this from time to time. Other websites load normally.

Why would anyone attack the forum? Just to create some FUD? To get profile information?

DDoS are a regular occurence here.
That is why bitcointalk has moved to shitty cloudflare.

I am also facing issues while using the forum:

1) It is definitely slower currently. Earlier I thought that this is due to my internet but I checked other websites and they were loading fast.

2) Sometimes while making a post here, the page redirects and all my content written till then is also gone. I have to click on back page to go back to the previous page. Are some IPs blacklisted ?

I am also encountering this problem currently, If I'm going in a specific I section like meta it took me more or less one minute to be in, this happen suddenly, so I try to install bing app and Firefox and the problem is the same with different browser, this might be an attack or it's under maintenance I guess. Even this reply post takes a minute or less to be post/saved.

Adding one more voice to this topic. I have the same problem as you OP, opening some topics kinda slow right now and sometimes it checked the page from ddos attack. I dont know why do i have this, i hope this is an error from server side and there is an official explanation from admin when things like these happened. Nevertheless i hope it is fixed soon so we have the great experience again on this forum.

But there is no cloudflare connecting issue all the time we slow web pages. Hope there may be any implementation on the website. If these kind of adding data  on the site this is happening on any website.
Mostly we see this things on E-commerce websites. Since I have experienced on this, I used to set the threshold for some pages.
May be for some pages they may add the threshold limit and running the implementation process if I am right.

I just hired a new and supposedly faster internet and was feeling I was scammed, for here the connexion is unbearably slow. But this is a forum problem, as you have pointed well.
Yes: it is really slow since the last couple of days. Is it an attack, or just the result of the massive affluent of people here? Who knows.

Bumping this since it is extremely slow again.

Didn't really have much problems past week but for some reason the slow loading  has returned for me again. I haven't seen any cloudflare redirecting screens, so protection might be lowered again, hence why the lagg might have returned for me?

Anyone else from EU having these problems?

I can confirm that the forum is pretty slow for me in last 2-3 days, and today situation is pretty bad.It takes 20-40 sec to load page, but it is not problem in my internet, all other sites working just fine.Looks like it's another one DDoS attack, but that does not affect equally to all users.I am also from EU.
I am in asia and sometimes access is very slow. Whereas my internet speed reaches 50 Mbps, and when I access from office with 200Mbps speed then access to bitcointalk forum still felt slow too. There seems to be a server-side problem and hopefully not elapsed in a long time.

Judging from the internet network and access that people have here, we can conclude that the sense of slowness experienced by many people. I guess when more access to this forum then this will have an impact on the time to load the page, otherwise direct from cloudfire also seems to be a problem that must be immediately addressed. Of course we will be comfortable when able to access this forum quickly.

I didn't notice anything extremely slow, my comp is old so everything works with short delays, I'm just used to live with that, nothing annoys me so much as OP. The thing I've noticed is that almost every time when I open bitcoin talk it is appear some page with checking my browser, by the ID is always different. Why?

It's been business as usual on my end today, I haven't personally noticed anything out of the ordinary on the forums, things load like normal and even opening spam megathreads in Bitcoin Discussion takes just a second or two. I got the Cloudflare loading page today, which I've only seen two or three times in the last year, but that's about it.

https://gyazo.com/49b02fe76668f7ab8aba24f488cc97f7

Just did a quick ping check and it seems loading times are slightly slow today, though I don't personally feel it. I've had much worse in terms of response time on the forums though, this is nothing.

Sometimes If edit my browser configuration in the setting it will be slow to response in this forum.
But most of the time this forum is having a DDOS every now and then that can lead to a slower response from IP to IP.

bitcointalk.org has been very slow for me today.  I did receive the CloudFlare gateway error one time.  It must be under heavy load/attack or the backend servers need a little TLC.

It seems to be better now compared to earlier today.

Funny enough, my user experience on the forum has been smooth today.

Sometimes very rarely it loads cloudflare offline page for me. It happened 2/3 times only in my entire BitcoinTalk experience (96 days). However, when I reload the link then it works. Possible reason could be very high traffic on the site.

I used to experience the cloudflare offline page stuff in my early days on the forum. Good thing it has stopped as it was pretty frustrating.  Angry

I also confirm that it is extremely slow today. It could be some kind of attack or a huge amount of users are online.

Whenever I click a button/link it takes more time than usual, it's around 10-20secs per attempt.

In case only bitcointalk specifically is slow then  it is matter of concern.  There is possibility of some outside attack.
Whenever my internet is slow ; then no site is opening or are opening with delay.  Though I have not experienced late opening of bitcoin when other sites are opening taking normal time.

Bitcointalk currently loads extremely slow for me. Anyone else encountering this?

Whenever i use a third party to check the response time, it's usually ~300ms.

That can't be normal right?

This topic for example, with only 39 replies took me 10-15 seconds to load..?

Any fix to this? It's quite annoying when you're just scrolling/reading through threads.
