The problem is not a spamming hunters but when that "experts" give advice to newbies. I often see a people here with even a high rank accounts telling such an hilarious things. That is truly freaking me out

I also see many "experts" without signatures who give these hilarious recommendations, just because they think so. It's normal that different people think differently, no matter what bitcointalk rank they have.

So ive come to notice that this forum has become completely littered with spam from signatue bounty hunters. When I joined in december I was told that this is the best source where to get info about crypto, but just to sift throught the crap here and actually find a thread that is engaging is near to impossible. If it keeps going on like this, this forum will become obsolete and it will be just a cash cow for bounty hunters coming from underdeveloped countries...

Are there going to be imposed any rules to stop this? Maybe a closed bounty thread for higher ranks only?

Id rather read some relevant info in here than try to make a buck from bounty honestly, and Im probably not the only one. The forum might lose true crypto enthusiasts this way...
Lack of serious discussion about the crypto topic. I can see that how so many people just try to hit and run to increase their post count. The only best thing to prevent or give minimum requirement to join in the signature campaign just like sr member or above.
So many new accounts created trash topic just like "will another crypto replace bitcoin" "which is best bitcoin or ethereum" or even some of them are bumping the old dead thread but the decision was in the bounty manager.

This is how the forum runs. It is not both for information, promotion and money-making. People join campaigns to earn money. Developers benefit from ICO promoters and so do investors, they invite more investors into the ICO. There are several spammers, that is undeniable, but that is why there are moderators for every section. It is their job to assure that the discussion is pure rational.

Sure there is a lot of spam posts, not only from bounty hunters but mainly form new accounts trying to get higher ranks. But this doesn't change the fact that bitcointalk forum is a gold mine for all things crypto related. If you dig more you will find those quality threads with lots on technical informations you wont find anywhere else.

So now a merit system is applied to filter out new accounts that are used as multiple accounts that may be widely used on social media bounty (such as twitter).

it's hard to predict whether a post is spam or not, sometimes an information is not seen from the number of tetpai of its content, only if it is less useful and too much of it can be called spam, or maybe just want to get a prize from the campaign and raise the rank with fast

In my opinion, it simply became a lot of superfluous information on which you do not want to spend time, once wrote essentially and briefly, now just do not write anything about it.

You should be ashamed to the hunters, but i dont think these spams will stop as the signatures are still existing! But if the signatures will be prohibited here what do you think will happen? only those people who's willing to learn will sign in to this forum, and the active users here will derease exponentially.I see the merit system was intended to fight spams and its very effective as of the moment but the thing is why would we have activities? if we cant rank up with the activities? acitivity requirements to rank up should be remove, and we should have pure merit requirements to rank up to avoid shitposters from ranking up.

You have perfectly reason, i think that  the merit rules was implemented for this reason and works quite well, however there are too many people that open same thread with same questions just to make a +1 in activity...

You know this matter was discussed already and some global moderators are agree with this and even proposed to theymos, the forum admin to disable the signatures globally and the theymos has a stance already and he implemented the merit system (if you want more about the merit system go to meta section) and if the merit system won't work against spamming then he will disable signature globally

There are always two sides in one medal. You can still find much useful information here as for trading, best coins, cashing out and taxes paying in different countries. People with more experience can post their advices and earn money on signatures - is that bad?

It's highly annoying. Signature campaign participants are creating non productive and useless threads all over the forum and it's affecting everyone who loves bitcointalk and cryptocurrencies. Few years ago It's was the best platform to discuss about cryptocurrencies, to post your isssues and problems and to buy/sell things. Now it just feels like craiglist filled with escort spams.

Sometimes I wonder if it's helping bitcointalk in any way financially because it's not then there's no need to allow this nonsense, atleast  All members below "Hero" rank should get their signatures disabled if they continue to spam forum with their useless posts.
