Although the BitConnect project looks exciting and revolutionary, there is relatively little information on the Internet about the team behind it. This is considered a warning red flag for potential investors because the lack of information is often the result of running without a clear development strategy.
Of course, this does not mean that BitConnect cannot be used as one of the investment options. However, until more information, especially about how to run a credit system, you should be wary of this alithinou.

This is what happens to your price when a regulator sends you to cease and desist. It'll drop more.

Everyone knew that BCC is a ponzi coin..still they invested (greed !).Itt is bound to happen sooner or later  as expected
All other lending ponzi coins will meet the same fate
That generalization was done in error. I doubt everyone who invested into bitconnect knew it was a ponzi. Otherwise, many would have stayed away.

That said. A major point of the collapse of the bitconnect scheme is that it led to the total collapse of other cryptos with lending or staking programs. Even its own exchange has abysmally collapsed. Now I am even weary of any coin with a referral program.

UPDATE
Our #BitConnect cryptocurrency will be removed from all exchanges.
Therefore, we offer an opportunity for our members.
You can exchange your BCC tokens at the current rate of $142.47 USD per token.
Only until March 19, 2018.
Follow the instructions in the following article:

What's dead, should stay dead. This should serve as a lesson to everyone who chase vaporwares and lending platforms in search of wealth. When I told my friends that bitconnect would collapse at some point, they all doubted me because Bitconnect was hyped by some youtube big goons. And the fact that it survived for like a year made it look genuine. I'm not sorry for anyone who didn't heed to warnings and went on to invest in a ponzi ~ rob peter to pay paul ~ scheme.

As for Bitconnect, I believe that this is a simple financial pyramid with a referral system. Of course I can be mistaken, but the meaning in it was something like this. So I do not worry that she collapsed

bitconnect has really succeeded when hit on the greed of "investors " . their problem, as you can see, was a combination of ignorance and greed. I have tried to prevent the people around me invest in bcc. i hope this is the expensive lesson for those who did not listen to my advice

It actually did succeed. The people that invested in it were allowed to use those coins while the price was high so they can get more coins from the ICO.

We know from the start already that this shitcoin is a ponzi scheme already but there are some ignorant people who wants to invest with this coin for profits and what did they get in the end? REGRET. Regret in such a way that they know that its a scam but they want to put their money with it. We can't do anything about these people.

Stop discussing this project. It is another well advertised ponzi. As we all know, ponzi is profitable for first investors, which really can get some money. But every ponzi will crash, it's only matter of time.

You arrive late with your warning. This project is dead. Price has dropped to zero or so. We are just making fun of the people who still manage to fall for this scam even now that it has been exposed and all the money has been lost.

They are up several 100% again today. Which is completely crazy.

If you look on the price graph NOW you will realize that this final pump and dump was actually a little masterpiece in its way - after that the project had failed and it had become clear is had been a crumbled Ponzi scheme, someone managed to rapidly accumulate enough worthless coins to make a flash pump where a lot of losers jumped inside to that they could lose again their last pocket-money in the obvious dump which soon follower. Very entertaining Cheesy

Bitconnect spam issue would be highlighted by media in a huge I think, because of this scam people who don't have knowledge on cryptocurrency would think bad about crypto world. Rather than experts in this forum warned investors of bitconnect, crypto admins need to set a monitoring team to stop these kind of scams or need to ban scam companies entering into crypto.

The ones who invested in this wellcrafted ponzi scheme is either not researching or they dont know how networking works,
Should we call this disconnect instead?ive heard the people behind this scam has a new ICO,bitconnectX if i am not mistaken.

Everybody who joined this scheme should know the risk of loosing more.
Hope they learned their lessons.

The did probably learn the lesson NOW, and they have chosen to learn it the hard way. They had had the choice to learn it the soft way as the whole forum was full of people trying to warn them that it was just a Ponzi scheme. They didn't want to listen.

Changes coming for the Bitconnect system - Halt of lending and exchange platform

This is to inform all community members that we are closing the Bitconnect lending and exchange platform. We are closing the lending operation immediately with the release of all outstanding loans. With release of your entire active loan in the lending wallet we are transferring all your lending wallet balance to your BitConnect wallet balance at 363.62 USD. This rate has been calculated based on last 15 days averages of the closing price registered on coinmarketcap.com. You are free to withdraw your BitConnect coin currently in QT wallets that was used for staking as well. We are also closing BCC exchange platform in 5 days.  In short, we are closing lending service and exchange service while BitConnect.co website will operate for wallet service, news and educational purposes.

The mod on the other board I mentioned above says they will not refund your BTC deposits in BTC .. they will only refund it BCC!

AND ... they are using the previous $360/BCC price to base the refund on ... which has now crashed to $20!

People are getting 1/18th of their BTC back, in a coin that is crashing to zero.

But he still won't admit it was scam.

I'm kind of glad it happened today.  Speculation was that this $3 Billion scam would spark a wide market crash when it fell apart.  Well, the market was already crashing and this is kind of lost in the bigger stories of today.  Timing was excellent.

I'm thinking the wider market crash may have been caused by the scammers cashing out. Quickly trying to convert a billion dollars of crypto into fiat has got to move the broader market!

It’s probably all related to some extent.  The start of the crash may have been a signal to BCC scammers to cash out, because they knew they would not be able to fulfill the mounting BTC withdrawal requests ... and that led to a broadening of the crash, sealing BCC’s fate.

I don’t think it is a coincidence that BCC pulled the plug during a major market downturn.  They either ran out of money or did this as an excuse to make off with all the money.  They are keeping everyone’s BTC deposits and paying them back in nearly worthless BCC tokens.

People should go to jail for this.

So many signs were going on right before their out. First of all the site went into "maintenance" for a couple of days. Then they were paying the higher percentage than usual and the BTC price was fairly low for that to happen. Trevon James did not make more new videos, he was probably warned. I just feel so bad for all those who had no chance and BCC screwed them all.

People are saying they were getting a lot cease and desist letters, but I think what really happened here is due to the market downturn, people were trying to withdraw their bitcoins and cash out.

Today, they ran out of other people's Bitcoin to give away.

I hope for the sake of people who parked their bitcoins there, that part 2 of this act isn't "oops, we lost your bitcoins, too, sorry about that."

But that sad truth is they were likely using new investor bitcoins to pay off old investors ... seems like we've been down that road before.

Someone who understands a ponzi! It seems like they want to hodl on to what little legitimacy they have by their “re-structure” of website. I hope all goes well but have little doubt millions in BTC are long gone by the no names “leadership” at BCC.

I got into a "discussion" about bitconnect with a mod at on another message board.  He was kind of an arrogant dick about how doubters didn't deserve to be a part of that great platform.  I kinda want to go back and bump that thread, but I think he would ban me.   Grin
