no one said you cannot use a template banner therefore the winner didn't broke the rules. the most important thing was to make an eye catching banner respecting the requirements and that's what he did.

Maybe make the picture appear without needing to click on eat to make voters more convenient. They can't compare it easily when they need to check it one by one. The best thing to let voters judge those banners is to show it all at once. Good luck to the winner.

We decided not to directly show each banner, because this would mean people need to load ~50 MB each time they open this thread. Also, showing animated stuff might be against forum rules.

I think your banner was better than most of those in the line up.
I was pretty upset too because I made 2 banners, one is on the line up and the other isnt. I think the one that isn't on the line-up is better than most of banners in the line-up too.
I didn't like the way this was organized....
IF there was something wrong with the text, they should contact us and ask for a change in the text (which takes a few minutes only).
Probably your banners are not in the line-up because of the text message (which was different from most).

Oh yeah, I didn't check the size, 1.1mb is indeed too large for animated banner. And maybe unusable in adwords and other publisher. But 150kb animated .gif banner with that many text (btx core strengths) seems imposible,

Hmm, I don't know how that make it to the list, but the rule was for submitting .gif animated banner, and that one more like .mp4 video animation,
But since the manager put it on the list, it might be okay,
But it wont be usable as ads banner, in most banner based advertising publisher.

I was pretty upset too because I made 2 banners, one is on the line up and the other isnt. I think the one that isn't on the line-up is better than most of banners in the line-up too.
I didn't like the way this was organized....
IF there was something wrong with the text, they should contact us and ask for a change in the text (which takes a few minutes only).

We considered this, but directly displaing animated images is against the rules. Especially when it is 21 images, people would need to load ~50 MB when entering the thread - we don't want the vote to get closed by mods!

Some are really nice... and some are not
I like the one with moving BTX circle, the one with the rocket and the one with color splash (although might be better if it was pink everytime, not so many colors).
The one with delorean is kinda interesting, somehow different (in a good way).

I thought this was a banner competition to be used on websites like the competition states.

Most of the banners are well over 150kb, some of them are well over 1 mb!
These banners can never be used on websites because they arn't allowed. The maximum size allowed is 150kb.
