Very sweet. Love the idea of moving back towards boards instead of bulky rig packages, price point and efficiency are terrible. You can get a S3 which includes cooling and roughly same hashrate for about 80 bucks. These you have to buy a cooling option as well, and even downclocked is about tied with bitmains last generation.  Needs to be about 40 dollars per board to be worth it.

Been looking at it a little more.  It looks like it's being sold without heatsink.  And they do best with a closed water heatsink.

So add that to things you need to buy.  As far as those wanting to use a Raspberry for a bigger miner Avalon 4.1 might be better off.  Know it is stat wise, but have not compared price. Avalon 4.1 comes at a premium.

This would be a really cool project for engineers, might even try to make one little miner with a raspberry pi and see how it does.

If we could get these for $80 each or so, I think it'd be worthwhile, but to get the right sort of efficiency you need to clock it down to 300GH.

Considering they teamed up with BFL as first asic partner.  I doubt fair pricing is ever going to happen.

Very cool.... just why could they not have released them long ago when the miner was new.  Think of all the sales compared to their high priced miner they could have had.

500GH card for $159 and you can set-up your own cooling system. Could be fun for building custom miner boxes
