I don't use bitfinex, ever since the hack.. afaik you can request a small withdrawal, on withdrawal page when you type the amount you should see "help" button/text click on it and request a small amount withdrawal and don't ever look back lol.
A lesson to read the fine print before acting.
I opened an account with Bitfinex and lodged some BTC there to do a small trade but I am being presented with the following message:
Minimum Account Equity
You have been redirected. Please review our account activation policy.
New accounts must achieve an initial account equity of 10,000 USD to access platform features. Your current account equity is 79 USD.
Please deposit cryptocurrency or become verified and deposit via a bank wire.
After achieving this minimum equity, all platform features will become available and you will not be required to maintain this level of equity to continue. You will be able to continue using Bitfinex while reducing your equity if you desire.
If your equity has changed recently and you believe you are now over the minimum, please allow a few minutes for the system to update.
