Indeed a rough start..

LocalTill are the ones who do the transaction for bitfloor.com or localTil is who i sent money too @ bofa.. So when there was trouble bitfloor just pointed to them..

anyway thanks so much for the best wishes man i need it. Im sure it ill look at this as a lesson well learned after i can put my heart back together.

By the way..  thanks for the tip.. im not sure what to do .. i may eat the $250 or if i can convince my other two friends too take a bitcoin ride.. for a bit!! haha then i may just end up buy $6k in BTC and sitting!

Please do tell about the other fee-less or cheap way to get USD to bitcoin!

I had no plans to store it but if i pull it out to my bank account via direct deposit it will look like i made 6k$$ and get hit for capital gains taxes at the end of the year!!

Im not even gonna ponder on that right now(lol) but please do tell!!
My wallet is at blockchain.info .. i dunno if that matters.

Sorry about your bad luck  Sad  I would get half in BTC & let it ride a week,it seems that BTC is still going up & up.I can't believe it's gotten this high, this fast ...............

Never used LocalTill, so can't say much about them, but I think there's services that charges less fees for getting into bitcoin.

Just a quick tip, there's soon bank hollidays in europe, and often there's a dip in the price in the weekend (although not always - but it seems to have been so lately), so if you wait, you might get a better price than 88. But nothing is certain. You surely was off to a poor start here, let me hope the continued journey will be a better one. Bitcoin has many great things, wish you the best.

Zedicus, your position is showing.

Hey there... its a tough one. if everyone in this community experienced what i experienced the last few days there would be no bitcoin. Sentiment grows and gathers steam from the reflection of our interactions and it ripples fast ..

Tho somehow im leaning to locaTilt screwing it up..

Sometimes its not in anyone's control ..
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21954636

You can learn a lot about company's and the people behind them in the way they interact with people ... Sometimes a small window is all you need and you get the jist of what youre dealing with ..

if you would have read the plea i sent localTilt in the email for support and how i would loose an opportunity of a lifetime since my funds were not made available shortly after deposit..

( you would think one would reply with some sort of explanation or an apology for my "experience" even if there was no fault on their behalf... anything except "Youre account has been credited"!)

Really??? thats the best you got, a one line email! At least bitfloor responded in seconds after my email went out with instructions on how to contact LocalTilt and steps to take!!

I wouldnt want what happened to me to happen to anyone!! not even the trolls.. I think we owe it to each other to make sure we fair out ok but my views arent shared by everyone..

User CoinHoarder recommended me to bitfloor and he did so with good intentions. Even now i dont feel bitfloor or Lotaltilt has wronged me per say.. but the reflections of our interactions will speaks volumes long after this is said and done.

Thats said, what i have lost is the opportunity.. an opportunity i may never get back! I say that because i am a true believer in you are what you eat and you are who you hang around and youre part of who you support!!

I wont support BFL, SONY, GODADDY and a long list of other dead beats and their company's because of UN-erasable reflections of horrific interactions they have left behind like a trail of bad karma thats continually chasing them down like dirty dogs!!

So i guess thats the worst part. EVEN IF BFL WAS AVAILABLE AT WALMART IMMEDIATELY ! Im stubbornly conscious and unless the stock @ avalon became available at $6k right now ...i wont be getting an ASIC MINER!!!
( & from the looks of it i got a better chance of it raining dollars bills right now)

Im a bit devastated.. i went through hell and high water for days organizing a group purchase of an AVALON ASIC MINER and after finally gathering $6000

Member with 53 posts and account registered 4 days ago gathered $6000  Huh  I wonder if investors on this forum can go any more stupid.

First off. You never had 53 posts on this forum ? You only have 87 yourself.. Someone may have lurked here a long time with no account, or just become aware of this site recently, it doesn't mean they're idiots or less capable, although more scams are comitted by newcomers apparently.

Personally I gathered about 2.5K early in 2011, and made it back + some more on bitcoin mining. It was a chance to take, and it proofed profitable, except from all the time I spent on it of course, so the pay pr. hour wasn't very good most likely. Anyway - it was an interesting experience.

Getting an Avalon Asics at this point in time seems like a good investment, how good it will be, or how bad it will be, only the future can show. It's a risk to take. If one blindly invests, expecting to get rich, now - that is foolish - but if one's aware of the risks, then it's an interesting adventure to take on.

To OP: If you're only a few dollars short, then yes - I would absolutely ask someone for a loan to get it completed. As it seems now, the avalon site definately says out of stock, yes unfortunately.

Best wishes, and welcome to the community, ignore the trolls and negative people.

Hey Herodes!!!

You shouldnt have even bothered ..if you have to explain to him that someone could have possibly lurked the forums for quite some time before even signing up then maybe he has more to work out than you were imagining!!

Nonetheless im pretty thick skinned, so its not a prob..

I appreciate youre welcome wagon alot! Tho my dreams of grabbing an avalon has been shattered i plan contribute to this forum and this community.

My funds showed up this morning and i have received an email from both bitfloor and localtill letting me know my account was credited!

Bitfloor was very responsive to support emails and  the reply from localtill was not till this morning .. their email just said our records indicate the account was credited.

If i had to blame a finger i would point at local till because i talked to bitfloor yesterday.. I think localTill was done for the day so their hands may have been tied.. they opted for a one line email response on how the account was credited..(this morning) Maybe it was a BoFA error.. who knows! I got no apologies or explanations.

------------------

Anyway the end result was me loosing $250!

The part that sucked the worst.. When i purchased the BTC or i thought i did! I paid $6150 in CASH at a local BOFA !!
So $5900 USD was deposited in my account.. Because of the fee for local till! If i would made a purchase then it would have been justified as the cost of purchase.

But now i realize that bitfloor is a trading platform and i BOUGHT nothing!!
All that happened was my account got credited $5900 this morning!!! 12hrs after order!

I bought 0 BTC!!!! I had went to sleep thinking I had actually bought BTC $5900 worth!!! So last night i was telling myself at least the price of BTC went up .. so i thought we made $$$.. price went up by 11$ per BTC woohoo!! But wait! NOT SO FAST!!

After a quick dialog with bitfloor! I know understanding bitfloor is a trading platform ... ALL the has happened is my account was "credited" the $5900 USD and the $250 was the fee for localtill!

So i just found out i have not made the few hundred dollars from the purchase of what i thought was $5900 worth of  BTC @ 77$.

All i have is an account credited with $5900 with the "ability" to purchase BTC now at the new rate (as of this morning) of $88!!!

So not only did i not profit from the bitcoin jump last night!! im just out a $250 fee for moving $5900 to bitfloor, and of course no AVALON ASIC MINER
 Sad  Sad  Sad

I got to $6k with a couple people so we calculated the risk of the Avalon and determined it was acceptable gamble...but this i did not foresee.

I think its important that we share our experiences, as the sum of those sentiments is what fuels bitcoin and its ecosystem. I think thats what yufi had in mind when they decided to go only BTC for the AVALON purchase!  Fuel the bitcoin economy and bring positive sentiment and confidence in bitcoin and its surrounding partners, patrons and investors a like.

I now have the daunting task of reporting to my two friends our current situation. I shall be of heavy heart today!

I hope someone reading this benefits from my experience.

Thanks Herodes for just being yourself!

Best Regard,
Zedicus

do you have a #bitcoin-otc web of trust rating? maybe you could secure a very short-term loan.

Hey thanks for the response im not sure what bitcoin-otc is but i jut googled it.. Something ill look into in the future..

i image its like i-trader. I have a rep on a car forum from selling car parts and we use such a system to give each other points after successful sell or transactions..

Unfortunately im a bit new around here and i havent really even dialoged with to many people ... let alone make friends.

I might be willing to purchase a share in the machine or lend some dollars if I have enough confidence that it's legit. Oh - and in the event I should not be available as I'm off for a few hours, try the forum, see if you can secure some short term loan.

Man, i cant impose on anyone like that.. tho Im a standup guy...

Just saying you would even consider it is big in my book! Thanks for putting it out there..

i dugg deep for the $6k tho ..    so i dont have a remote chance in hell of getting another ...  Smiley

The only reason im trying to keep myself up is if i can make it awake till 5-6am, it will be 9am in NY! Hoping someone reads my support plea!

( and ) if there is still stock ...

Remote chance in hell basically.. but gotta try...

Hey all ,

Im a bit devastated.. i went through hell and high water for days organizing a group purchase of an AVALON ASIC MINER and after finally gathering $6000, I used  bitfloor.com to deposit cash at BofA. I followed the direction to the letter and its been 4 hours! I contacted support and they said to contact LocalTill, LLC with my receipt and email which i have. Bitfloor support was actually pretty fast in response.. So no complaints there..

Our AVALON purchase hangs in the balance and ultimately no purchase tonight probably mean no purchase at all!

I realize LocalTill, LLC is in NY so im predicting a no return of my email until business hours tomorrow in which case i have made the error of a lifetime by choosing bitfloor.com & LocalTill, LLC and we are have lost our only opportunity to buy an ASIC MINER at this critical time.
(EDIT> on hind sight i cant even point a finger i dunno what happened ! Guess tomorrow ill here from localtill! Maybe im just unlucky bearer or a glitch! )

What is everyone else's experience?? is there a possibility that the order suddenly comes through tonight.  The count on the AVALONS are low..

I had the bank teller read the account number twice to me and it was all filled out right. We got the receipt and it matches the deposit email which i emailed to LocalTill, LLC..

No much left for me to do .. but ive been up for what seems like days and if theres a remote chance in hell that somehow the system is backed up or .. i dunno!! Somebody tell me youve been through this!?

Im just looking for peoples experience so i can better determine if i should get some sleep.

Maybe there is a LocalTill, LLC Rep here ? (probably a long shot)

I dont even know what im gonna say to the people who were counting on me to make this happen! Sad

Thanks for the ear.. Hope to hear from you out there.
