As much I like the bitfury chips, the price is way to high at the moment.

A full kit will cost €4819 including vat and shipping. That is almost 8 BTC. That is pretty high price compared to the antminers.

It's quite a shame. Good chips, in stock. At the right price these would fly off the shelves. I can't imagine sales doing well at these prices.

I just noticed this morning the Euro BFSB has new stock if anyone is interested.

Bitfury chips are still some of the most GH/W power efficient on the market.
For anyone new to mining without a 28nm budget/pre-order I would suggest old Bitfury chips rather than stuff made with old BFL/Avalon chips.

POWER compsumtion isn't most important.  Ghs/$ is very expensive? We mine with Ghs no watts. H-card v2.2 with 16 chips only hash 25 - 35ghs

This is only 2.1 Ghs per chip
But when they sell chips say 3ghs @ .85w/Ghs .
If performance is that, because its mine 35ghs v2.2 pcb only. would have to undermine 48ghs and 40.8w.

Guys - Les received the boards today and ... they have a problem.  The fab dropped 2 of our layers, producing a 2-layer PCB (no internal interconnects).  We identified the problem immediately, got it fixed, and the fab is now expediting new PCBs on a 5-day turn.  We are seeking to expedite each additional step this is going to take, but we *will* lose 3 - 5 days here (and 10's of thousands of $$$)

Steps we are taking:
-2-day turn verification rig in production now
-send a team member to China to in-person test this rig
-expedite all stages of PCB production, assembly & delivery

Since we will be right up against our retail delivery timeframe, we are going to have to use the 100TH boards for filling retail product.  Due to this, Tytus has announced an increased hashrate supply to our 100TH investors of 200TH total, to be deployed in the next two months cumulatively (not all at once at the end).

We are as upset at the delay/fakap as you are I'm sure.  This is one of the side affects of pushing such a fast track project, but we are making it right.  Believe me we want this stuff hashing as much as anyone and we are pulling out all the stops to get it done.

Rev2 M-boards are currently in production, and I really think it's a good idea to ship the units with those as it makes it more plug and play.

I still believe we will be shipping everything as promised, apart from possibly exceeding specs by 25% on the power consumption side. (Meaning: less energy consumption) I'm also working together with Foofighter to produce casings for these units, ie. boxes with fans Smiley I have doubts we will have them available in time for August shipments though Sad

I should be getting first M-boards on friday, so if all goes as planned, we would start shipping week 34. (August 19th - 25th)

I expect september to be quiet in terms of what's being produced. We know we should be getting more chips in sept/oct '13. We can prepare everything else in advance, so when we get the chips, production can start rolling quickly (we can book a slot for PCB assembly). Unfortunately the IC fab + IC packaging part of the equation can be unpredictable and can cause delays from time to time. This is why I can say october, but nothing more precise. If all goes as planned (and as promised to us by our manufacturing partners), I believe it's theoretically possible to start shipping october units in first half of october.

The order for 100TH and August product is all one batch, and its being produced now.  The first 4 full rigs shipped to Tytus today.  I expect the rest to finish assembly very soon (though specific finish date has not been provided by factory).  We have no reason to expect production delays at this point, or that we won't have enough product.  

Logistically there two challenges for each effort:
For 100TH, assembling, configuring and running all those rigs will take time.  We are trying to cut down on that by: preassembling racks, prewiring them with PDU, switch, patch cords, power cords & power supplies.  We are pre-imaging SD cards for all the rPIs for both 100TH and customer orders.  I have all the racks, PDU's, switches, PSUs, patch cords, power cords, SD cards, rPi's and a 16x SD duplicator all in hand.

For August orders the main bottleneck will be testing for bad cards.  We will try to fire up as many as we can to test simultaneously.  We can see fairly immediately if there is a card with bad chips, so hopefully we don't need to test for very long - maybe only a few hours, or until the unit shows it can come up to operating temperature with no bad behavior.  Then out the door they should go.

I have two different ship teams and a build team for 100TH.
