@goldennestegg

Maybe it is my fault for not doing research first, but they did not say usa members can not send or receive in TOS and before I sign up, I should not have to look in a blog post to find that information.

and it is funny how they have "billions in gold" and got a crap load of investments but can not pay the fees for the license for USA (I am guessing they do not allow usa members to send or receive because a license is needed)

@nonbody
This is another response they sent me:
"
BitGold conducts the business in U.S territory very carefully to fit the local regulatory requirement. The transfer function is not available for U.S division in any way.

For U.S clients, the available functions are:

1. buy/sell gold on the platform
2. spend gold by using the BitGold prepaid card (available very soon)
"

----

And this is the response about bitcoin:
"
The bitcoin withdrawal option has no ETA at this moment.

We will announce it once it becomes available.
"

----

So I am not a happy camper at all.

Though I like the bitgold concepts but it would have been more welcoming if it has an open trade exchange like bitcoin because it is not all of us that like to store up gold.

What are you talking about? how did they lie. when they announced the launch in the U.S.A all the news released stated "Send and receive gold payment features are not initially available in the US" I love the BitGold platform, I find it amazing.

So I waited 3 days for a mundane reply like this:

Quote
Yes, U.S client will not able to use send payment function.

Well looks like when they support bitcoin withdraw thats when I will exit.

Damn liars saying USA is supported but yet cant use the most basic functions.

Can't you transfer the gold to someone else's account on bitgold itself? If you can then you only need to find someone who wants the gold and you can offer him a big discount and he can pay you in Bitcoin for that. That way you'll be able to get some of your money out because I don't think they're going to allow Bitcoin withdrawals.

It will be difficult finding someone but you can try and if you do find someone make sure to use an escrow for the trade.

Nope they do not allow usa members to send any gold at all - can only deposit and withdraw but yet they lied and say usa members are "on the list of supported countries."

I was never able to sign up, I got stuck on the phone verification part. I knew there would be some catch to withdraw the so called Free gold and now I know, I don't have enough info on them so can't really say if they're legit or not but looks like they're trapping users to deposit money by offering free gold.

You shouldn't have deposited anything without reading their Terms & Conditions first, keep writing to them and let's hope they let you withdraw your gold or bitcoin, although I doubt they will.

Thanks for replying,

I did read the T&C and basically they can take the free gold back, I do not really care about the free gold. But I understand what you mean, I heard others were stuck too on phone verification.

 I just want to be able to send gold, and for them not to reply for 2 days makes me nervous - I just hope they are legit.

From the reviews I seen they seem legit unless those are shill accounts - but if anything I am out just ~ $10 but I really hope they are legit.

Well I have not heard about it until user nonbody offered $5 to sign up for it under him (thread was trash canned and he has not paid me anything yet..)

I really like bitgold and was excited that USA was listed under support countries, so I registered got 0.25 grams free (pending for 60 days for being referred. and  then got 0.239 gram for signing up on july 4th. I then deposited ~$10 but I then asked myself "How the hell do I send gold" later I find out USA can not send or receive gold (I do not know how USA is supported then......)

This is upsetting to me  I sent them a email that same day and no response yet.

Anyone have any info if USA will be able to send and receive soon?

They seem legit but I could be wrong..
