Yea, they couldn't keep up with the competition. They're happy with XRB, but with the Binance listing ohh..
I feel this is a inside job, really sucks.

Now they are in big problems because of Hack, how can they get the hacked coin in their wallet. Did they find any sources whether who hacked their wallets, sometimes it is really frustrating who has funded in their exchange?

Apparently the hacker has been selling the XRB on mercatox. Someone from Vietnam.

Bitgrail  just showed their true colors. Bitgrail felt the threat of Binance so instead of losing users, they made up a "hack incident" because stealing that 17M xrb is more than enough to stop their operation and live filthy rich.

If you can withdraw from bitgrail, do so immediately.

It's too late now, though i don't think it was possible after the new year eve already. After NANO team has brought the light on the situation this week, BitGrail closed all the activity. All they do now is offering their "full and sincerest apologies to the customers and to whom has been involved into the illegal transfers of Nano occurred on the platform".
Atleast they do give their sincerest apologies to those users who do lost up money but their reputation is already have a scar. Luckily i have withdrawn and converted all my XRB (Raiblocks) before the incident happen which means i have avoided such mess. For now its not really good to make any transactions to that site and rather avoid at all cost. They would really do make some alibis just to indirectly shown their true motive.

The site is not accessible unfortunately.

If you have coins there such as Xrb, apply for verification. Some member say they are waiting since December. You cant withdraw your coins now and Xrb is in trouble because of them. There is a big verification queue and they are doing it manually.

This is because Bitgrail lost 17 mil NANO in a 'hack' and now they are trying to prevent withdraws with all possible tricks. They are insolvent now.

Avoid them at all cost.

Pretty much this.

They're just making up an excuse for people to not withdraw from them as frequently. It'll delay most people's withdrawals because they know that people are going to have difficulty with presenting docs, even though this was not required when they deposited.

Needless to say, don't deposit any sum of money onto their site. It's just going to be wasting your own money since they are most likely to be insolvent.

Spot on.

This is the same thing that happened at Cryptsy and Bittrex - they use verification as an excuse to steal people's money. In the case of Bittrex their verification rules are beyond that required by any govt and they're not processing them even when people make the attempt to comply.

If you can withdraw from bitgrail, do so immediately.

This is precisely why I say to everyone, please achieve maximum verification before depositing any coin. If the site has it available, then do it. Because sooner or later, this will happen and you will get stuck especially if you did not use real names or spam email to sign up. Watch out, guys, any centralized exchange will end up the same way. This is my repeated plea to get everyone to move to dex!

Other lesson learned is,,, do not store coins on exchanges!

it seems that all those verification innovations were just the way to cover the fact they've been hacked and lost all our XRB's (NANO). you can get the details in the notice on bitgrail's main page and in the NANO team's statement:
https://medium.com/@nanocurrency/official-statement-regrading-bitgrail-insolvency-ed4422bf274b
i bet if NANO hasn't published their statement bitgrail still would be trying to hide the situation.

Yes hope someone gets to the bottom of this. I had some XRB on the exchange Sad

I have to say for me verification went relatively smoothly. Documents have to be under 1 MB.

when did you send?

I send it last week somewhere, I think it was done within 3 days.
