Thank you for the update! Let's see how long they will take to verify my account now.

Great then! But let this be a lesson and stop keeping your coins on exchanges! I feel bad but this is exactly why they always tell you to immediately remove stuff from the exchange unless you're ok with losing it. And you can't say you didn't have time. I had some XRB I purchased on BitGrail and I knew from the get go it was a shit-tier exchange and removed it as quickly as I could and transferred to the rai wallet. And now that XRB/ Nano is on Binance I don't think anyone will ever go to Bitgrail.

BitGrail said they will not allow withdraws for non-EU countries anymore. They just blocked without saying "you have 1 week to withdraw and then we will close non-EU accounts". That's not fair.

So, what do I do to recover my money? Or I can't recover it and it is lost in BitGrail account for ever?

When I transferred my money to BitGrail, they did not ask for Account Verification, now that I want to withdraw it, they ask to verify my account - BUT it is only possible to get a verified account for EU countries, not for non-EU countries.

Oh Jesus - Did I lost all my money? What is BigGrail doing?
I'm not familiar with Bitgrail. However just saying that they don't support non-Europe users anymore is not a good enough explanation for them to take your funds without any warning. It's still your funds, no matter what. You verifying your account is definitely the first step to take, though.

Also contact support, explain the situation to them, because the verification process may take more than 1 week to go through. Nobody knows at this stage and if you don't tell them early, they may say that 1 week is up and your account is closed.

This is a surprise though. They should give at least 1 month notice, not 1 week.

Have you read the update on reddit? It says if you're unverified, you have to close your account first to receive your funds in BTC

The possibility to deposit and withdraw will be available very soon for verified users. Moreover, will be given the opportunity to withdraw their funds without converting them to BTC, both for EU and EXTRA-EU users. In this case they should be verified (or verify), withdraw and if needed close accounts. For the others, with the intention to withdraw without being verified, as written in the ToS, they will have to close their accounts and receive the equivalent of funds in their accounts in BTC.

One of the staffs said that account termination will start today but according to this, seems like no one has been terminated yet hence received their funds.

You can contact them via support ticket,

Bruno222,

Bitgrail is doing exactly the same as Cuba and North Korea, they simply took our money and blocked it without any warning.
I worked hard to invest, they are blocking my honestly earned money.
I think Bitgrail did not understand the essence of the Crypto Coins.
