Let me give you a free advice. try to sell bitcoin and ethereum at low price and the sell them at high price rather than wasting your time finding $100 miner or cloud mining which is worthless for you but profit for the provider.

Well I am looking to get something small like a USB miner... Although I'm not sure which one to get and what coin to mine. As I said it's only going to be a hobby and I don't expect a huge profit although a profit is always nice... Don't really want to spend anymore than say $100 on one.

Honestly, the thing isn't even worth buying anymore. Any learning you get from such a small ASIC can be had with a CPU or GPU if you don't stress it for too long. Peercoin is one I use for my more powerful stick miners, but the only profit you will find will be in the latest generation of miners, the Ebit E9, Antminer S/T9, R4, and the Avalon A7s.

There are none. It is simply too old and outdated to be useful anywhere.

Hello all,

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to the mining side of Crypto.

I was looking at purchasing a used Bitmain Antminer U1, just to dabble my hand in the world of mining really, although it's always good to make some sort of profit.

The USB miner has an average 1.6/2ghz of mining power, I've used a Bitcoin Mining calculator to see how much profit would be in it, and it's just cents/pennies so no point...

What would be a good coin to mine using this type of miner? Just to make a small profit as a hobby/project?

Thanks for all advice/help in advance.
