Good for Bitcoin Cash!
Mainly you have to buy 5 unit as $350 each x5= 1750 + 5 psu 515 shipment UPS quick and safer 150 (ish) tot $2725 maybe + customs
mining return as today is approx $450/month + power
I mean if you mine to stuck up BCH and wait going to appreciate in future it's okay investment but still 1000W each unit mean 5000W ... not sure if you really like to get this deal for short term investment!
My guess right now Bitmain it's just guessing what to sell and for sure they got more freedom to build up because got kicked out the mainland to do production and maybe found a better place to build up their units!
It's just raising cash and give the illusion to chinese home they can resell units in alibaba for crazy profit as they been doing last year when where was shortage of units!
Another thing to keep in mind its starting to become more competition for Bitman not maybe not strong yet, but some people start to do the mat and selling 1000 units x $2000 = $2,000,000 it's good money and easy money especially from a country where have no problem to: build up hardware for few $, cheap labor and $0.02/kwh in average!
What I am saying they are afraid to lose leadership and Obelisk it's a first call other way no sense to sell first batch of A3 for more then $2000 and all the sudden for $950 after Obelisk sold two batches of Sia Asic for $1500 for more than 3000 units (off course not ready yet but still) good waking up call!
quick mafs
They ain't gonna loose leadership and if they will in nearest future, they will still have tons of customers with them.
Not sure who and why someone will buy rebranded S7, but I know that people will, with free electricity and lots of cash it makes sense
Agreed!
Bitmain
Pro: not scam, do deliver, relatively cheap first batch new models, simple set up, low maintenance
Con: high db, toxic air emission, high watt power consumption, expensive after second gen, not always reliable (dissipation units detach from chips eventually), low quality hardware, poor customer service, poor design airflow
You are being kind. After many purchases, I received a A3 (first batch) with a DOA hashboard. Repair remains in "uncollected" status.
Just receive responses on how to create a repair ticket.
Yes, it was labelled with the correct tracking #, no the tracking # did not change, yes two copies of the RMA form were printed and attached.
Yes, I have proof of delivery from the courier.
With the shutdown approaching, really no chance of having this fixed before the next batch arrive, hopefully I will be proven wrong.
At the moment I feel Bitmain really do not give a toss about their customers. They are so petty, they should be embarrassed when it comes to warranty support
Sorry to hear that !
Did u try to run under 220v before ship to repair?
Did u ship it in oversea or LA?
