I can also confirm they have shipped the 12 x units T17+ but under a different tracking number (so I didn't know about it until I spoke with customs today).

I can therefore confirm that Bitmain have shipped 2 x shipments to me this week, everything I currently have outstanding.

VERY GOOD NEWS, a huge relief for me. I hope others will receive their shipments too.

Should I be concerned about this? Is this standard practice with them?

I wouldn't be concerned, it's not very usual for Bitmain to delay shipping, they have been known to be very accurate with the shipping aspect, they could very well send you a dead machine, or a machine that works for a few days or weeks and then dies, they might even send you a tube that looks like a miner but when you open it you find a dozen of heatsinks that need soldering, but I am pretty confident they won't scam you.

With that being said things are not looking pretty for Bitmain, they had a "hard fork" and this time it is a serious one, so I wouldn't be surprised if they ship you nothing for months to come, meanwhile everyone should be careful dealing with Bitmain until this war between Jihan and Zhan is over.

That's great but I was hoping to be able to supply my people back in May, which is why I purchased back in April. I was just denied an attempt to cancel and refund the order despite having had no real evidence that a package has even left the warehouse and it's been seven weeks since money changed hands. Don't really like buying things twice, and since the US now has a better grasp on supply chains the need has passed anyway.

Point is, "just be patient" has been going around a lot and there ain't much you can do about it since we decided to outsource basically everything.

I've had trouble with orders from China for a while. A few suppliers using DHL have been quite reliable but other suppliers and other carriers, pretty dismal. I had some flashlight housings paid for in April, tracking stopped updating May 12th, and then suddenly they landed in Chicago two days ago. That was Express shipping. Some masks purchased in April, expected delivery by May 12th (I've got family in ill-supplied medical jobs), tracking hasn't updated since May 3rd. They all just keep saying "be patient".

Yeah

two express from China in transit since May 1 and May 9

and a fedex from China delayed from June 2 to June 12

I recently ordered 12 x units T17+ 58 TH/s from Bitmain. These were a 'spot order' with promise of "shipping in 7 days after fully paid".

The order was placed and payment (in full) sent on 3rd June. I received notification of payment received from Bitmain on 5th June. On 7th June I received an email saying the items have been shipped which included a tracking number, however to this date - checking the tracking number reveals that the items still have not been received by the courier. They have basically just created a shipping label without actually shipping the goods.

I have raised a ticket with Bitmain and their response is basically "be patient". Should I be concerned about this? Is this standard practice with them?

Covid-19 has come back in China. There have been some closings here and there.

You may have a long delay.  Hopefully they may give you some quality coupons to make up for it.

So I am guessing it is real since both left and right say it is. Grin

To all don't order from China for a few weeks.
