not enough hashrate to find a block more than every other day it seems.  Right now mining eth on antpool is kind of like mining btc on Eligius.  Low hash so better pay per share, but not enough blocks found to stay put.

Only other problem with Eligius, they payout whenever they feel like it,your shares always count but they have sooo many issues on payouts Tongue

Bitmain should make a big farm itself and use the pool to do the mining as well, just as it does with the bitcoin.

Why would anyone want to support their pool? Fail.

If you are in China, you may use their pool. It is close to your miner so there is less chance of stale shares.

I had the Antpool ETH running on one of my miners for a few hours - same issue, it was mining and reported at least a couple of shares but nothing showed up in the pool.

Yes, I did notice and use the BTC/ETH toggle - didn't change anything.

I suspect the pool itself isn't actually working yet.

No Scrypt ASIC can mine non-Scypt algorythms - there have been *2* ASIC (Gridseed GC3355 and SFARDS (Gridseed/WiiBox merger company) SF100) built to do both Scrypt and SHA256 (Bitcoin etc) but those were a rare exception and were specifically built to do so.

I have seen one site advertising pre-orders for an Ethereum ASIC but I STRONGLY suspect it's a scam. I just don't see ETH lasting long enough as a PoW coin to make an ASIC viable to design and build.

It requires only GPU for mining ETH? or are there any ASIC for altcoins as well?
I think only GPU's can mine eth.. but i heard that theres a scrypt miner that can mine ethereum.. didnt know if this is true or not..
Just like grid seed http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=scrypt+miner

one way to find out try it , it won't, eth is not a scrypt algorithm it's called Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm whole new way of mining that's actually pretty sweet and cool to do x11 is a scrypt algorithm kind of  that's why they were able to make a miner for it.we may never see a ASIC miner for eth maybe some other kind Down the road but no ASIC miners or i hope we don't .it's takes a lot of the fun away. to have the big guys come in and rune it .

It could just have been me, but I finally found how to monitor eth miners and stats on the antpool.  I found the little toggle on antpools site up in the top left corner of web page.  Toggle bitcoin to ethereum and whole new dashboard, workerstats, graphs etc appear, not to mention settings where you can enter your ethereum wallet address.  Not a lot of hash, handful of blocks (6) have been mined and only PPLNS is available at this time.  Take it for what it's worth, may or may not have been any help to anyone.

From what I'm gathering the ETH servers are only in China right now so I'm guessing my problem is due to latency issues.

Tried setting it up and think I got everything correct in dashboard but the miner keeps telling me waiting for work package after I connect.

are there any stats or way to monitor eth on the ant?  Are they going to be like slush and pay out in btc?  I tested for grins and was able to connect using same settings as dwarf, but have no idea if I was mining to my account or just adding hash?
