It is a shame that some Avalon shills come to this thread with misleading statement on the chip performance and price comparsion. We just lock this and open another self moderated.

I know how much hate is accumulated against Avalon team. I am not advocating for them here but so far they get delivered their AVALON2 chips without any delays from stock according to this forum.  But what i can tell you is that:

Avalon batch 2 chips are available for immediate delivery at 6 btc per 500 chips - 20% above compared to this offer with almost 13 times less investment. And they get delivered in day or two. There is a reference design for Avalon 2 + technobit and probably others with working product so time to market for ready to mine products will be 10 - 15 days max (if all is going well  without delays) compared to 2-3 months with this chips

So Profit (IF ANY AT ALL) will be bigger with avalon2 compared to this offer
For me this chip at that price of 100 Btc with unclear feature is looser definitely.

Luck to all of you.

Best

BM1380 can hash at 2.8GH/s, 86% faster than an Avalon2, and consume much less power(1.3J/GH vs 2.5J/GH), which will lower the cost for AC/DC power supply and DC/DC module.
Yeahhh
It remembers me the days when i got my AVALON batch 1 unit. And BFL folks who still are waiting for their orders were crying we will blast you away because of the power. It turned out that with just a day of mining i paid for the electricity for whole year. What i am tiring to say what matters most is time to market for me. But this whole story is leading us to nowhere just spending money FOR NOTHING and that is all

I wish you luck with this power efficiency after 3 mounts. all the goup buys drama, the technical delays which are going to happen for sure, the chinese new year and good knows what else

Best
I am not mentioning the fact that " the cost for AC/DC power supply and DC/DC module" is the last thing one should be thinking of compared to highly overpriced ASICS themselves spending a bug or two even ten for  Power supply is an miserable expense

Bitcoin / Crypto mining Hardware.
Seems Like Avalon2 Chip?
Is it?
Are there any tech docs available.
If it is Avalon 2 (even it is not) The price is too high in my opinion. Two months to market at least for minig borads to be assembled

My feelings tell me that it is Avalon2 for sure...But anyway time will tell
Good luck to you and your customers

It's more efficient than Avalon 2, though datasheets will reveal more about the comm protocol. # of chip pins are not same as Avalon2.

Summary
BM1380 is a Bitcoin mining chip developed by Bitmain, a Chinese based IC company. We use the chip to build S1 Dual Blades, nearly a thousand of which has been sold to the Bitcoin community.

BM1380 can run at different mode, depending on the favorite of the users. It can run at 0.75V core voltage and 0.68J/GH high efficiency which can compete with some 28nm mining chips. At 0.75V the hashing board runs without a heat sink. BM1380 is also running at 1.1V or 1.25V voltage sounding reliably, doubling the hash rate and the efficiency spec still better than most of other 55nm node chips on the market.

Now the chip is open for purchase.

About the Chip

Process Node: 55nm
Number of Cores: 8
Package Type: QFN56
Packaged Chip Size: 8 mm x 8 mm
Rated Hash Rate: 2.8GH/s @ 1.1V
