Well it makes no sense to use SWIFT instead of SEPA if you are based in Europe.

As recently as a week ago I was able to deposit money through an international wire transfer into my bitme account. Yesterday however I noticed that this is no longer possible. Bitme cites low demand and high fees as reasons. Which to me seems rather strange, because you can pass the fees on to the client.

Their e-mail to me:

we've decided to discontinue international wires because
of the low demand and high fees. We are more focused towards US
customers right now. There are much more cost effective ways to get
Bitcoins for non-US users.
