Someone placed bets at 70% today at BitMEX, sentiment is becoming very positive towards approval Cheesy
It's nothing more than a guessing game that has zero value when it comes to the actual approval or disapproval by the SEC.

Other than that, basically everyone can place bets and manipulate the score to their desired percentage. That's why these "polls" (because that's basically what they are) have no real value.

Things are changing, maybe the ETF will get approved after all, at least the markets are starting to believe so...

https://www.bitmex.com/app/trade/COIN_BH17

Forget that nonsense!
Even if it is 100% who believe it will get approved, it will have no influence on the SEC's decision.
And I'm very doubtful to be honest. There are many people who think so as well and can't wait for the dump to happen.
The good thing here is when many prepare themselves to get cheap coins this could mean that we will see a strong bounce.
On the other hand something completely different might happen who knows.

We can't forget it, and ETF is not a nonsense, it is make sense in every way (regards ETF potential for the market).
Well, you can't judge someone because he chose to on 'approval side' than being negative like another,
I believe like 75% now, that SEC will approve winklevoss ETF as there are a lot of speculation and leaked out about SEC approval team which indicates they will approve it.
Check this out :

Dude, I hope you are right, 75% chance would be GREAT!

Stop being an idiot thinking price will fall hard and such just because of the rally up the hills related to ETF news and approaching due date many are joining the mining and difficulty should increase in a few days and that alone is a backbone of a rising price, if you are waiting for under $1000 don't get your hopes high.

Lol why so anti-climatic?  Let as enjoy the thought that ETF will be approved but have ourselves reserved for the possible decline of that ETF.  As what OP said positive sentiment can't hurt Grin

Well, we're down to ~40 again.

I have written in another section of the forum (here, in the Press thread about the BitMEX market) that the value of the BitMEX indicator is probably trading significantly higher than the probability the trading community assigns to an ETF approval.

In short: The BitMEX asset is trading in Bitcoin and you get 0,01 BTC if you "win" the bet (minus your investment, which actually is ~0.06 against and ~0.04 in favour of the ETF approval). As most traders agree that an ETF approval would bullish for the price and a disapproval would be bearish, the profit (measured in USD/EUR/CNY) is higher if the ETF is approved.

It is therefore only rational to short this asset if you think the "disapproval crash" will be limited (or non-existent), or that Bitcoin will be enter a bull market again shortly afterwards.

One thing is a given: We will have our bitcoin ETF eventually. This is just the beginning. Hold!

It's only a matter of time, and with every rejected ETF, we are getting closer since the summary is that fewer and fewer requirements are missing after the SEC analyzes it. So eventually we will indeed get it, and it can be anytime now, that's why it's very dangerous trying to short it, if it gets passed, you will go bankrupt since the short will get destroyed by a massive pump. Money will start coming in from everywhere thanks to the ETF.

I know that we have rumors circulating around that ETF will be approved and this news is the reason behind current high price of Bitcoin.
Apparently there is leaked info from someone from the SEC, but like with every rumor you can't pinpoint it accurately.
It is definitely not that hard to add ETF testing panel on Bitmex, so I wouldn't keep my hopes about ETF approval high.

This site can't reflest the real situation of ETF approval or not, it only reflects traders and gamblers minds, so don't take it too seriously, only SEC is the thing we need to care about.

Are there any sports betting sites offering any lines on this?  I would love to see at what lines they opened at and how they moved as we get closer and closer to March 11, 2016.  I want it to be approved as it can be seem as a troll somewhat on Wall Street but I'm not that optimistic.

This is a very interesting little thread. By the sounds of it the amount of action this application has produced is unprecedented. There've also been ETFs with similarly drawn out application periods that were withdrawn at the last minute. It's not in the bag yet.

I think we will have a good idea if its going to happen by the 8th of March. I expect some insiders to jack the price up around that date or big shorts to appear and a massive selloff if insiders know of a rejection. No news by the 10th probably means a default approval.
