I've been dealing with BitPay 2 times already and this 15 minutes policy is really dumb, but all my transactions went in time so I can't tell you how to solve problems with their refunds. However I can tell you and any other people who read this thread about my method for using BitPay. You will just need some online wallet with batch withdrawals, I was using Poloniex because I had a little bit of funds there, but other services would work too. The general idea is to wait for a time when a next Bitcoin block should appear just in a few minutes, then create a BitPay payment, then make a batch withdrawal request to BitPay's address. 15 minute timer will start, but because of the nature of batch withdrawals you can cancel your requests at any time, so if your timer will be running out, you can cancel your withdrawal and start again. Online wallets pay very high fees for their transactions so they always get included in first new block. I hope someone will find this method helpful!

If you have entered a wrong refund mail address then that's your mistake. You might have done out of security purpose but the main point was to put your original mail Id as it was related to important stuff itself. Anyway you can contact the bitpay support again and provide them necessary proofs if you have any.

Man you have no idea what you're talking about.

So you mean that if someone enter wrong email adress it's legit of bitpay to not refund the bitcoins. The logic thing is that they just refund them to the bitcoin wallet the bitcoins was paid from ? If that's the case they should let us confirm the email adress and make it clear that in case the email entered are wrong we will not refund your bitcoins.

Everyone can make mistake and enter wrong email adress.

I see no other reason for bitpay to not refund my bitcoins than that they want to scam us.

What is happening in the world of bitcoin guys! The bitpay use to be very honest service as per my acknowledgement. I have seen so many posts regarding its bitpay card and the related online services. I'm surprised with your post and need to read news about bitpay. But if they would have done it on the mass scale then the news could have exploded by now. I think there has to be some sort of confusion in your transaction or payment processing.

I never had a problem with them when I uploaded funds from my Bitcoin wallet , Electrum to my Skrill payment processor, they needed 6 confirmations on the bitcoin network and the funds were available in my Skrill account. Same with Steam, in fact in Steam funds are available instantly after you send them to their wallet through Bitpay.

Never used directly Bitpay though so I don't know but they seem to be the most legitimate service in this area.

According to the rules of logic, they have to refund the money to the address you used to deposit and they are chiefly responsible for such issue as they have limited time period for payment reciepts.
These are weird rules in some exchange platforms which one applied, aren't noticed and mellorated by their team ever.
Anyone can lost access to email anytime, this doesn't mean that email is everything in their rules.
You should contact their license provider, may be they can force bitpay to ask clients for documents in such cases.

I totally agree with you, I think they are just trying to find a way to hassle us on our hard earned money. Because they know how easy it is to write wrong email adress, and by that way they refuse to refund them.

If I need to enter the contact & refund email every time I make a payment through bitpay, it means there are no more privacy as they can see which payments coming from the same email adress.

What happened to me can happen to everyone. We should put some kind of pressure on bitpay, I really hate such hassling companies trying to impose their crazy rules and threatening our privacy.

How this happened, because this is one among the trusted and legitimate service provider. It has dealt large volume of business transactions serving as an intermediate. Even it has made business of exchanging bitcoin for house and other properties as well.

That sucks, I'm not familiar with Bitpay, but I would check your junk mail. Sometimes valuable stuff gets sent there. Be careful though. Be aware of what you are doing.

I have made a bitcoin payment and the payment processor used was bitpay. I paid the requested amount that was specified on the bitpay payment page. But due to delays in the bitcoin network the payment didn't reach in time the recipient. So bitpay are claiming they want to refund the bitcoins to me now.

But the problem is that they are not willing to refund the money to my bitcoin wallet I paid from. They are claiming they have sent me email but I have not received such an email.

How can I solve this problem? I told them that they can either refund the bitcoins to the wallet I paid from or pay the bitcoins to the wallet I sent them to. But they are refusing both this options and say I have to reply on the email they are claiming they sent me.

When you make a payment with bitpay you'll need to enter an contact & refund email. It can be that I have wrote a wrong email adress, because there's no chance for you to double-check and confirm the email adress.
