Hi Dave, this function is like a coin wasp, we receive USDT from User and send ETH to them, thus they can use for TX fee.

Is this is just a pre-payment? What happens if fees spike like they did in late 2017? It looks like you can buy now, and if fees really do go up a lot and stay there for a while come out ahead if you need to send during that time. Or are you just taking the fee up front dividing by 10 or 30 or whatever and using that as the fee?

In order for a better maintenance and management of iOS version Bitpie, Bitpie Team decided to change our developer account “BITPIE TECHNOLOGY INC.” to new account “BITPIE HK LIMITED”. All the following updates and publications will be undertaken by the new account.

The newest version of bitpie wallet supports USD trade. Now you can sell btc & USDT to change to USD, then send to your USD bank account.

It`s manually. But actually, for 2/3 multisig u also need a trusted third party.  It`s the same actually, cause no matter what the trusted third party is the key point.

I see, to confirm it, I need to rummage google search to read the news about OTC brokers that had built-up trust to scam millions;
specially those who are working with the most reputable Exchanges.

Anyways, how about the security at your end, is it being handled by a centralized server or temporarily stored in a 2/2 or 2/3 multisig address?

In recent years, besides placing advertisements and orders on OTC platform, there is actually another less-known OTC market, that is, private deals between acquaintances. In the case of private deals, the trade volume is actually much larger than OTC platforms’, it’s just average people are not so familiar with it.

OTC traders have been accustomed to the way of making and taking orders, sending fiat and cryptocurrencies directly without any third-party escrow. The whole process is based on mutual trust. It's convenient and fast, but not safe though.

The risk of this mode is actually very high. As early as the previous round of bull market in 2016, Alice (assumed name) had been defrauded by a Bob (assumed name).
Bob had been helping her as an agent to trade with others in an OTC way. Bob helped Alice cash in and out for a long time. He was very creditable and had no problems. Many deals worth of $50,000 US dollars to $100,000 US dollars were handled successfully and smoothly. However, when a million-dollar business came one day, Bob disappeared with $1 million worth of Bitcoin in 2016, knowing that the unit price of bitcoin was only over $450 USD. If you are Alice, how do you feel about that?
 
Compared to the example from few years ago, the latest case of OTC scam is even more astonishing! Hundreds of OTC traders have been deceived by more than 8,000 bitcoins, worth nearly $40 million USD.
