The cruise is a great idea. I'm sure there's got to be a travel agent out there that will accept bitcoin. We just need the Carnival's, Royal Caribbean's, NCL's, etc to accept it as well!

Is anyone up for a group cruise? At bitcoin's current prices we could definitely get a cruise price under a bitcoin and if we can get at least around 16 people (8 staterooms) we can get a discount on a cruise, or if we get more people we can have a mini-conference while enjoying a great vacation.

I set up a BitPool to coordinate this. Check out the How To link at http://www.bitpools.com to see how coordination works from start to finish.

How reliable is the internet(if any?) on crusies these days? What would happen if there was a bitcoin emergency and we were all (literally)out to sea?

Other than those concerns I think it sounds like a fun idea.

I've never paid for a cruise with bitcoin but cruises are a lot of fun and can be educational.

Caribbean is always a good choice.

I love the Caribbean. I've been to the east, west and south...they're all great.

They are. Perhaps the cruise can stop on the island zeroday moved too after the Cyprus fiasco.

Here's one guy whote about his 7-day Eastern Carribean cruise with BTC http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1uk9ow/i_just_booked_a_7_day_eastern_caribbean_cruise/

Excellent, so there is at least one travel agent that accepts bitcoins for cruises, that should make it easier for planning a Bitcoin cruise.

Would anyone be interested in a going on a cruise?
