It is unfortunate that shit happens. Probably, some kind of regulation should be here. It is essential that crypto exchanges are responsible for user funds. And so that there was an opportunity in such cases to make a complaint to someone and demand compensation.

How many exchanges this year scammed or lost user´s fund? I know about Quadriga, Binance, Cryptopia, Bithumb and DragonEx. Are your funds on the exchanges really safe as you think?
It is not recommended to save assets in exchange. We already know a number of exchanges that might not be scary, except that the exchange was hacked. And there are also exchanges that are indeed scams because there are other problems. And now it's bitsane.

There are consequences for every action
This is why regulation is needed perhaps; especially exchange platforms
Because they are the biggest winner in the crypto currency space

Can the Bitsane team be tracked at all ?
This is why a hardware wallet is needed for huge funds

What exactly is this cryptocurrency world becoming?

246,000 users have loss their fund to Bitsane Exchange in an Exit Scam.

The story is here: https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/180-246000-users-fund-gone-in-an-exit-scam-by-bitsane-exchange

These guys will just go away with other people's hard earned fund.

My question is should people exit crypto business? Could this be because of no regulation?

Your opinion is important to me.

Thanks.

This is one of the things that scared investors, this is not an isolated case, this has been happening so many times, authorities should prosecute and put these people in jail, they will continue to scam people if these people are scot free, they will do it again and again this is one of the dangers of no regulation.

Now for growth it is necessary to have less such news, on the contrary, today I was happy when I learned that the Chinese authorities spoke positively about Bitcoin ... I thought that a positive news background was created for the growth of the market, and then this news about the collapse of the exchange ... Only I did not find information about whether ordinary people have lost much money, only figures on the number of users are given. Maybe someone knows?

Knowledge is power they say, the ones who follows the rules and regulations of crypto won't be in trouble like this ,in fact I'm just hearing this exchange for the first time because I never use it ,its simple ,do not use not too popular exchanges ,idax scam IEO projects too and there is nothing to do about it for now ,my advice is for investors to be extremely careful

I read the Forbes article instead, since the other one was in broken English.  This caught my eye from Forbes:

Quote
Bitsane’s disappearance is the latest cautionary tale for a cryptocurrency industry trying to shed its reputation as an unsafe asset class. Several exchanges like GateHub and Binance have been breached by hackers this year, but an exchange completely ceasing to exist with no notice or explanation is far more unusual.

Unsafe asset class, my ass.  True, crypto is irreversible but anyone playing around with coins ought to be knowledgeable enough to keep them safe.  That's one of the first things I learned when I got into bitcoin--don't keep coins on an exchange and always be in control of your private keys.

As to the part I bolded above, I might disagree with that somewhat.  It's not like we haven't seen exchanges fly the coop with all their customers' funds before.  It sucks, but it's not unprecedented.

This exchange was out of Ireland if I'm reading this correctly, and I bet these scumbags will get caught.  Ireland is no 3rd world, lawless country--but I don't know how much regulation was going on there.  And I wouldn't be surprised if this causes lawmakers to start cracking down on exchanges and/or cryptocurrency.  Shitheads like Bitsane obviously don't give two fucks about cryptocurrency and the damage they can do to its reputation.  Very sad.
