If you don’t believe, why are you here?

Yes, Poloniex are OK.

I saw they said it was coordinated, I'll proceed with minimal risk.

I have question too, as long as I keep BTS on the exchange until the launch, I just have  to down load to 2.0 client and deposit?

Yes, but be sure to check that the exchange you hold your funds will do the migration to your BTS, afaik CCEDK and Poloniex are OK.

I really am a newb when it comes to Bitshares.  Sorry there's no big conspiracy here, lol.  I've been purchasing a little bit of a lot of different coins each week for the last half a year or so.  Over that time I've accumulated around 40,000 of these Bitshares and when I came to this forum and realized the system was changing I had some questions.

I am mostly a lurker here, but I'm sure you can tell that my account isn't new.

Again, thanks for answering my questions.

Thank you for your response Chryspano, appreciated.

Didn't appreciate my warning?.. About the dev's track record.
Lol good luck.. Your gonna need it.
Or..
Congrats on suckering people into a game..
The old topic circle Jerk for attention..
People make a coin etc then come here playing the dumb noob asking questions..
I have seen it a lot and much much more.
It's cute you guys never grasp how badly manipulated you are here.
He'll even I fall for it..
I helped a noob with some questions here before and some guy I know pm'd me admitting it was him.
The level of deceit here is monumental.. Colossal!
.. And new guys have noooooo idea.
One guy admitted here he created 60+ accounts to manipulate people into buying his clone coin.

Stop being low hanging fruit guys.
In fruit orchards you all would be called "dead falls"
Not just hanging low.. You're on the damn ground!

When you are drunk you should stay away from the keyboard...

I currently have a small investment in Bitshares, and I was wondering if I could get a few quick explanations about Bitshares 2.0.

I believe there is a cap of around 2.5 billion Bitshares on the current system, will the new system mirror that?  Will we be trading our old Bitshares for the new ones at a 1:1 ratio?   Also how difficult will it be for me to move the currency from my current Bitshares wallet, to the new wallet?

Will it be possible to store Bitshares on an encrypted private key, like I would with BIP 38 with Bitcoin?

Thanks.  I started reading the wiki, but realized it would take hours to find the details I was looking for because there's just so much information to sift through.

Current supply of bts is 2,533,583,643 and theoretical max supply is 3,643,600,840 with an estimated final supply of 2,933,079,931 bts https://bitsharesblocks.com/charts/supply

I don't believe there will be changes in that, but it will be the bts holders that will finally decide how many funds of those will be burned and how many will go to development.

Conversion will be 1:1 and the only thing to do is to import your 0.9.3c exported wallet file in BitShares 2.0  take a look here http://docs.bitshares.eu/migration/ (If you are not going to receive or spent any bts until the new release it could be a good idea to synch your 0.9.3c wallet and export your wallet now)

Someone will give you a better answer here but you will always have a better chance if you join and ask at https://bitsharestalk.org/ thats where all the "action" takes place Smiley
