If BitShares offered dice on a blockchain that was...

- Provably Fair
- All on the blockchain (No Counterparty risk)
- 0.5% Blockchain edge or less
- Bet in BitShares or BitAssets like USD, Gold, Silver etc.
- Results in 10 seconds

Would that be something you would consider playing? Other thoughts/input?

I think people like it fast. Make it 0.1 second and many will be interested.  Wink

I like the idea of decentralized Dice, But I hope it would be fast like the normal dice sites.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like speed is important. The BitShares blockchain is pretty fast with 10 second block times (5 second avg. confirmation time.) but looks like even that might be too slow. Maybe they need some hybrid model.

I think I wouldn't play it, I just play in bitcoin

They have BitBTC which tracks the price of Bitcoin, but yeah it would be easier to play in Bitcoin if that was your preference.

On chain dice is boring and slow. Off chain is where it's at. Provably fair to be expected and honestly I wouldn't do a dice site. How about a site similar to dice but it isn't dice? Something just as fast and insane with a ridiculously low house edge but it's NOT dice. You get it?

like slot machine or shooting (skill) game.

Or multiplayer bet games like pool would be cool.

Check some of the games at pogo.com and see if you can make one into a bitcoin game.  Wink

That's interesting. PLAY (which runs on BitShares blockchain) will be out soon and is looking to develop a few games that may be like that which BitShares could add too. http://www.coindesk.com/one-startup-will-use-blockchain-disrupt-online-gaming/

Isn't SatoshiDice already have game similar like this ?

But, players with small funds won't come here since they have to avoid TX fee to keep to get profit

With most sites you have to trust that they won't shut down so the advantage of Decentralized Dice is that it would all be on the blockchain.

You're right about the transaction fee. On BitShares the transaction fee is really low though so for bets of $0.25 or more it will be cheaper than 1% edge Dice site.

Results in 10 seconds? but it would like a dice or how?

A BitShares Blockchain can create provably fair/random results & has 10 second block-times (5 seconds avg. confirmstion time.) so they can create a lot of chance games such as Dice that all stay on the blockchain. It seems like that might be a bit slow for some but the advantage is you don't have to worry about a centralised site shutting down/other.

You could also play in BitUSD or BitGold if you didn't want Bitcoin volatility. http://whatisbitusd.com
