Why would people be worried about an internal shuffle?

maybe i'm wrong, but maybe bitcoinstamp is about to cash out and run. it does sound fishy and it'd stop me from putting my money in there.

They should probably issue an explanation, but I'm not at this stage all that worried about it. One buddy did tell me the other day that bitstamp was a little buggy this past week though.

Here is a dated article on bitstamp. Owners are known entities based out of London.

Not sure if there's a correlation, but Bitcoin Charts has been buggy during the same time frame you've stated. In fact, I've yet been unable to log on for the past few hours.

I didn't realize this guy is with BitStamp and one of BitPay's concerns, Bitcoin Magazine: http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=13482841&authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=Xq1T&locale=en_US&srchid=242722271385271771810&srchindex=1&srchtotal=1&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A242722271385271771810%2CVSRPtargetId%3A13482841%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary

I find bitstamp to be more accurate as Mt. Gox has had multiple freezes.
