The following words are guess or deduction based the my trading experience in bitstamp.

Bitstamp seems seldom uses their cold wallets, they always try to use recently deposited bitcoin from users to fulfill bitcoin withdrawal requests. As the price of bitstamp has been substantially low for the pasting few days comparing with bitfinex and other Chinese exchanges, this creates space for arbitrage. Therefore, the withdrawal amount would be much higher than the amount of deposited for the same time period. Those withdrawals had to wait until enough bitcoins deposited by users.

Their cold wallet probably run out of coin.

Normally take less than 24 hours to resolve.

Umm, cold wallet you say? This would mean they are insolvent in bitcoins. They recently proved to have 183k bitcoins.

It never be so slow. It always instant or very fast. This time it is too slow. 17 hours without payout.
Also no reply from their support.
Any thing wrong happened in bitstamp? I'm worried about next Gox.
